  1. People booing at half-time? YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO NOT GO! Jesus fucking christ.
  2. Arsenal need to be careful here. If they get to the final, they could well get relegated.
  3. Comments like "Loads of people will go to the match still" and "40,000 would still be a success" aren't helpful, IMO. They give people who are waivering about the boycott an excuse to go. Please, let's not legitimise attending this game. The message we need to send out is that nobody should go. That there's a boycott. That this is our chance to show Ashley that we've had enough, that we're behind this and want it to succeed. We need to help every individual to see that this is the right course of action, that their individual voice and actions on Sunday count and will be counted. Everyone who makes a decision about Sunday makes a difference to how this is perceived, we can discuss attendances after the event.
  4. Only just come on hasn't he? Ah, fair enough. Must have come on when I went for a piss. Hadn't even bothered to check the lineups, forgot the match was on until half-time.
  5. Pahaha, been watching the whole of the second half and that's genuinely the first time I've noticed Gouffran was playing. Amazing.
  6. Just so much passion from Sissoko. Listen, you can't make those kind of tackles in flip-flops. Lick.
  7. Hard to feel anything other than apathy. Hope they get a few more, make the Spurs game a little more empty.

Anyone wants Ashley out and who goes to the game knowing there's a boycott planned is an idiot. You're actively damaging a protest whose aims you agree with. Just don't go. For one game, don't go. Do something else with your day, try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

I can understand that you stick with the club through thick and thin but for us we've seen a manager litterally rip the heart of football away from us, and an owner litterally ripping the heart of the football club away from us. I can't understand why you would want to attend games. Ashley is laughing his arse off at everyone who walks into that stadium on a match day. I attend games in an attempt to support my team. Do you think Ashley would lose any money if Newcastle United went bust due to fans boycotting every fixture all season and we were relegated? Newcastle United would go bust, but Ashley would be in Barbados sitting on £50 notes. Not attending games does not hurt Mike Ashley one single ounce. Such a ridiculous argument. Just because an act doesn't bankrupt Ashley doesn't make it pointless. This is a man obsessed with money and profit, anything that reduces that will hurt him. It's not like gate money is 1% of our income either, sure it's below the sky deal but it's still very sizeable.

Those worrying about Ashley's potential retribution: What's he going to do, turn the club to shit? You've got nothing left to threaten us with Mike, nothing.
  11. I watch the games and I guess I always will, but not one penny goes to the club in tickets, merchandise, SD purchases or even Sky subscriptions. Fuck them.
  12. The most dynamic Gouffran looked was when he ran off the pitch, the useless shitbucket.
  13. This is turboshit. We've barely touched the back after 25 minutes, and they're all over us. Disgusting performance so far.
  14. You couldn't make this shit up. Showed him on my stream barely able to walk. Ridiculous.
  15. There's no way to win this is there? I'd genuinely like both teams to lose. What a horrid situation. That said, I'll be cheering Newcastle on come kickoff. We can lose everything else until the end of the season for all I care, but I do want to win this. And ideally see the scummers down at the end of the season.
  16. Struggling to give two s***s about this. Oh well. Thanks Ashley, you thundercunt.
  17. Sadly he's probably got infinitely more chance of replacing Janmaat than Colback.

    Sunderland

I'm exiled in Bournemouth and I love our airshow down here, and when I lived up north I went to the Sunderland one many times. It's a good event. But it's not as if Newcastle could have one, simply because of their location. You can't do aerobatics over city centres ffs, it's just not allowed. There's a bloody good reason that most of these things take place along a long, wide seafront - Maximum spectators can see and minimum them dying if something goes tits up, which sadly on occasion it does. Such an odd bunch.
  19. Pardew's a poor manager, but all of that was exacerbated by his unsackability. There was never a time you felt he was under pressure, despite being every bit as shit as people who otherwise got the bullet. That's why I hated him, not so much for his incompetence, but because it seemed impossible that he'd ever leave and that things would therefore get better. In the end, he still didn't get sacked. He wasn't the worst manager ever, but he clearly wasn't good enough. And the longer he occupied the dugout, the more depressing things got. We got a glimmer of hope with him leaving, but it now looks quite possible that Carver will just carry on where Pardew left off - being shit and unsackable. It's the lack of hope that kills you.
