Pay Rafa £175k basic (McClaren's quarter of the season wages) plus £10m if he keeps us up. Everyone's a winner.

I don't understand this at all. I'd love him to walk, of course, but he'd be utterly crazy to. If he just sticks around for a few days (possibly hours!) more, he gets a few million quid. I don't care how much I was hated, there's not a job in the universe I wouldn't put up with for a million quid a day. Suggesting that in some way he shouldn't is bonkers.

He probably has meetings about what meeting's he's going to have. Power point is involved, with sounds and effects. I bet he does a mean slide transition The plan is probably to make McClaren endure about 6 hours of PowerPoint, by which time he'll be fast asleep when the last slide is presented simply saying "You're fired". He'll then whisper "Any questions?" as quietly as he can before shuffling out, leaving the "You're sacked" slide on the screen for when McClaren wakes up.

Interesting choice if so, we need a miracle. At least we might get more crosses in....[sorry] Sadly he's not a fan of crosses.

The only possible way to stop up is to sack him. Immediately. Not saying we would stay up, but it's the only way to even contemplate it. The team has no direction, no passion, can't attack, we play the wrong people in the wrong positions. It's not going to get any better at all with him in charge. Not slightly.

Of course she's staying with him for the cash, but I can barely blame her. Her choices are: 1) Pretend to stay with him for a bit even though she probably hates him. She's probably not having to sleep with him as she can just tell him she's too upset and ultimately he's probably off to jail imminently anyway. Keep up this charade for a while and she can milk a convicted nonce for hundreds of thousands of pounds and never have to work again in her entire life and have plenty of cash to give her kid the best in life. 2) Leave him now and claim the moral high ground but spend the rest of her days struggling to pay bills and working 45 hour weeks until she's 65 stacking shelves in Tesco. I'm certainly not running down anyone for working at Tesco, but if option 1 is available I can't really blame anyone for taking it.
  10. pardew hatred aside, we could do with palace winning tbf. If we go down, it's because we deserve it, not because of what other teams have done. So I'll enjoy Pardew's descent towards ineptitude irrespective of who they lose to.
  11. Yeah, I agree. It's a bit harsh on Ted.
  12. It'll be like watching 1000 Ian Ws wake up one at a time.
  13. Hope he goes to use the supermarket's "10 items or fewer" lane and gets stuck behind someone with eleven items.
  14. Couldn't remotely care about the price. Not a single penny of it is coming out of my pocket.
  15. Play wingers as CMs and play CMs on the wing. What could possibly go wrong? Fucking idiots.
  16. Beyond gutted. RIP Pav, a player I genuinely admired on many levels.
  17. We were s*** before he took over. Sounness was nothing to do with him, neither was Allardyce. Roeder was little better. He's continued the s***, he didn't start it or create it. That's not to say I'm any supporter of Ashley because I'm most certainly not, he has made and continues to make loads of mistakes.
  18. I'm just bored now. Bored of being bored. Bored of being disappointed. Bored of us being shit. It's been like this for fucking years, it's disgusting. The promotion season was great fun, the season after was interesting. After that, all I've had to enjoy has been the occasional time Ben Arfa was allowed to play properly. Aside from that, we've been shit for a decade. It's a disgrace.
  19. Dummett and Colback out with Gini moved into the middle for me. Happy that Mitro and Ayoze are still up top though, hopefully a better performance from both. Can't disagree with either of the above tbh. Dummett is very poor at fullback, offers nothing at all going forward and isn't especially brilliant in defence. Wijnaldum is not and never will be a left winger and Sissoko is no more than passable on the right wing, whilst we persevere with 2 awfully sub-standard CMs. Thauvin and Mbabu should be given a chance to start and Wijnaldum moved into the middle, with Colback taken out back and shot.
  20. Still the same turboshit midfield with CMs on the wing and incompetents in the middle.
  21. Look, I've got no problem with anyone but at the same time I'm not going to pat someone on the back for sticking with a team that finished 7th and then 4th after two and a half decades of constant success. I started listing all the things we've put up with in the last 25years but to be honest it was just becoming a massive ramble, and we all know it's fucking light years away from one season outside Europe and another season of only just getting Champions League football. I'd sell my own grandmother for that level of 'failure'.
  22. That, really. There's no rewriting of history, I had a season ticket back then and Pav was the better keeper in my eyes. That's my take, but both had their good and bad points though and depending on the individual some may rate one higher than the other but Given was a good step ahead of either of them.
  23. I've decided to go shopping. I can't face watching the inevitable Pardew win and associated smugness overload.
