  2. You’re right, it’s absolutely persistence that’s got me to almost every home game this season without a ST. But reckon in general they’ll view at as luck (ballot success, queue number)
  3. Think all ST who wanted one got one in 2023 though?
  4. I reckon members who’ve been to a cup game will get some kind of shot over regular members. I don’t think it’ll matter if you went to all though, cos of the degree of luck involved in getting to all games. I think there are more tickets available than there are ST holders, going from last time?
  5. Booked transport to London and desperate to get in. Flew over from Canada last time, at least I’m just going from Newcastle this time. The resales are really silly right now, a lot more than I paid last time. Too much, need them to come down . Still, I’ll prob move into my parents a couple of months if necessary obviously praying I’ll get through ballot
  6. Great he could be part of that
  7. Was there any singing at all from Arsenal? Genuinely heard nothing at all, but could well have been drowned out.
  8. Honestly I sometimes feel like I'm half-faking it a bit, cos I don't want to miss out.
  9. Class that, never expected it to be so easy. Arsenal never turned up and we did. One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at SJP. Class, and especially great to be standing in the corner. Never heard Arsenal all night - couldnt tell if we just drowned them out Despite how great, real example of the damage VAR has done for me. I let myself go for the first disallowed goal, confident he was onside from my angle. For the two goals there was a cautiousness to my celebration after being burned, good, but not that all out feeling. The 'it must be the ball' chant was the perfect combination of gloating and taking the piss. loved it. Well done everyone, I really felt it made a difference. Very stressed now about getting into Wembley.
  10. Just watched this. Chaotic match, lovely scenes though.
  11. I was going to request the change if we go through tonight
  12. Buzzing to be in the Strawberry Corner tonight
  13. My first ever semi-final. Howay the lads. (My dad went into the club about ten years ago and they were very helpful, gave him the file of this and another photo they took of the two of us that wasn't used)
  14. I was up in the bouncy castle for the Tottenham one too. It's actually Ruud Gullit! being chanted over and over to a clap that most sticks in my head. Was amazing. If anyone has the 1998/99 NUFC official screenscaver that came with an official mousemat, you'll see a picture of me appear from the previous year v SheffU.
  15. This is where I fundamentally disagree. Yes it is. And therefore any 'sensible' decision has to take emotions into account, because this is football. It's nothing like deciding where to build a new Tesco's etc. from a business point of view. You may not feel much emotional attachment to the stadium itself, that's fine, I understand your reasoning, but the fact is many do, and that's valid and should be an important part of the calculation. I'm definitely emotionally attached, and I think probably overall I'd support a move on balance - not because I'd removed emotions from the equation though. tl;dr emotions have to be part of any sensible decision, because this is about football and football's largely about emotions.
  16. Football is all about emotions though, they're a valid factor - it's sensible to take emotions into account.
  17. Christ, that feels ages away.
  18. I mean the text, says I need to sign in - and I'm not signing up for The Telegraph.
  19. Can someone post the article please
  20. If we're moving I'm a big fan of that footprint, as close as possible to original site. Obviously wondering what that means for attendance during construction.
  21. What's the tl;dr of why you loved the Spurs stadium? Not being an arse, just asking. Went for the away game and my take aways were - big ring of corporate around 3/4 of the ground was grim, lacked character, view from 10th row was substantially worse than would be from equivalent of SJP. Caveat that didn't go to bar. Atmosphere was also proper shit - but don't think can pin that on stadium much.
  22. Nar the 99 blue one was pretty crap. Yellow numbers were a fun novelty though. Also I got Batty on it, then he left.
