  1. charted at 57 apparently. Maybe you can claim a credit as a member of featured artist the toon travelers.
  2. There was a Mungo Jerry single put out as an unofficial FA Cup final song that year. I’ve got it on CD, didn’t know what the background was.
  3. I don’t remember this - anyone remember what it was?
  4. Happy about the reduction in family are but absolutely shouldn’t be accepting year on year price increases as normal.
  5. Especially since we don't even have any words to it! (anymore)
  6. Googled who invented stepovers in football, and on the stepover wiki page. It's only two paragraphs long and yet features Glenn Roeder https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Step_over
  7. Im almost definitely unemployed next May (even if I get something else, it’d start later) so would be a crying shame if we’re not in the conference final.
  8. If we lose tomorrow, we can't catch Arsenal. Bit of a shame when I remember being at their place last year in the penultimate match, when we could've overtaken them for second in the final two games.
  9. He did radio punditry for the cup final I believe.
  10. I tend to think that's not a foul at all. To me the point of handball is stop people deliberately using their hands and separate the sport from likes of rugby, it's not to pretend arms don't exist. I reckon if you whack a ball and it hits a flailing arm, that's fine, that's on the attacker, arms exist and shouldn't be considered lava, they just shouldn't be used. However, if we are to treat them that way, then yes I agree the way forward is prob indirect FK and only a pen in cases where denies goal scoring opportunity.
  11. Im very grateful for Peterborough away in 09/10, got to experience an era of old style terraces that I’d just missed out on. Got to be better getting relegated than becoming an Everton. Being an Everton fan must have been dull as fuck for most of the last 30 years.
  12. Would never have imagined him on the wind up when he scores
  13. It would be hilarious but find it hard to believe it'll happen. Tbh Tottenham fans would prob enjoy it in the end. Loved our first season in the champ (in my living memory - Hughton), at least as a match-going fan it's great fun.
  14. I’m not sure I like this. It seems like VAR becomes even more part of the game then, even if implemented less. Tindall shithousing with VAR challenges, losing because we’d already used up our challenges or because Arteta is better at spotting a brush off the hand than Eddie is. I tend to think football can’t learn a lot off other sports for VAR because it’s very different in this regard (hence VAR being inherently shit in football while not necessarily so for other sports)
  15. Id like to consider: For the attacker, only torso can be offside For the defender, any part (apart from arm) can play onside (ie as now) I think the daylight is probably too favourable to attacker, that example above looks offside to me. I think my suggestion would possibly get it closer to the spirit of the rule, how it feels when you’re playing. Would need to see it though.
  16. Not necessarily opposed if he's largely there for similar reasons to Matt Ritchie was in his final season, but he needs to be another notch down the pecking order - can't be playing as much as this season. Maybe if we scrape into the Conference League he'd get more game time.
  17. christ, didn’t pick up on this at all up in the Leazes. V disappointed
  18. Sack the league off. There’s fun to be had this season but not in the league. Rest them for the fa cup. only semi serious, but mentally I’ve checked out the league but still hopeful cos of the other comps
  19. Our home champions league campaign alone now adds up to £404 for members so far and £374 for ST holders
  20. Cos they can I suppose. It's been that way for all the CL games this season (fiver extra).
  21. So are the members tickets 69 pound then too? A pound cheaper than Qarabag?
