Almiron, Gordon and Murphy have the pace to ruin them. Possibly switch it up (won't happen) with Burn, Botman and Schar as a 3 Livramento and Trips wingbacks, Bruno and Longstaff or Miley in centre Almiron in 10 and Murphy and Gordon up top

Willock never stays fit, for his limitations Longstaff is a competent player at this level and knows his role. Need better players around him but he has some engine on him and if his finishing improved he would have tons of goals positions he gets in

He might come back looking like a beast after summer. Remember Anderson did summer gone or one before. If he develops physically and continues to play like that he will be immense.

If they don't throw book at them and is light punishment it really opens floodgates doesn't it for clubs that can to just spend and pay any fine. Points deduction is surely only way to enforce this

Let him have an average season, he's been fucking immense the last 2 years and hamstrung by injuries. It will all come good, just going to take a bit of time. We may finish mid table this season but need to give Eddie next season as well. We overachieved last year.

Yeah it's the only way we will progress by selling at high value and reinvesting in 2 or 3 players to improve squad. Nothing else we can do in circumstances really, hopefully they improve youth and more players come through or we identify potential early and buy before stupid prices so that we can improve squad that way

Got a feeling we will murder these today. Think we will be at them from first minute. Dreaming of a spurs style demolition in first 20 minutes. I also think our recent bad form will be a motivator for us.

For me it's how easy teams are walking through us and also when we have the ball there's no structure and awful decision making. We can't seem to retain it, movement is mostly shit, over hit or underhit balls. We look frightened to have a go at teams now

We play in front of teams far too much, no direct running and miss Willock and Joelinton so much in that midfield. We just accepted defeat today, hardly any threat in their half, fucking easy for Luton

We just don't have any intensity at all at moment and struggle to build attacks. So many sloppy passes and shit movement

He probably needs a bit of a rest, lot of top level football for a 17 year old

I do think we need someone to sit more in that 3 as often when we lose the ball high up there's huge gaps in midfield so having someone a bit deeper might help recover ball/defend when teams hit us on counter

Yeah we were a shit show a few years ago while those teams have built and bought for years. We went from nearly relegated to champions league next season and transformed but don't quite have that edge yet. It will come though but I don't think setting expectations on top 4 or trophies will help at all. Top 7 is fine with me compared to what we were used to.

Do we need to win something or is finishing top 7 enough at least this year, building a better team and mentality. You can see the layers being built and may take a bit of time for our first trophy. Next Tuesday feels like a big game but establishing ourselves in top 6 feels more important and then building beyond that.

We miss Willock so much as he carries the ball and is a threat through middle/wide and works well with Bruno and Joe. Joelinton was quality tonight, couldn't have done much more. Physical, direct at times, kept ball and great finish. Compared to before Howe he's a different player.

We need a better starter but as a squad player incredibly useful. His work rate, pace and short passing, movement is good it's just the finishing touches aren't good enough. Looked like Howe didn't want him in first season but he was class last year

Joelinton and Almiron worked and worked all game. Quality not there across the team or maybe mentality to see it through but the effort is there. Need to find a way to be clinical as not good enough in attack most the time and then collapsing. Its about learning from it and probably got in this a few years before we should. We were a mess a few years ago and now we are just lacking the quality. Need to just accept the current form knowing it will get much much better.

Players are just knackered, don't have quite enough cutting edge but have a team that cares and tries. Will get it right eventually. Prob best for us to have that rest inbetween games

He looks like he will be a top player, so calm and aware of his surroundings.
