It's just so fucking funny especially because of the way they went on last year [emoji23] #publeague They could actually disappear forever, would be a delightful occasion.
-
Would probably let him buckle me. Such a classy player, that through ball for Shelvey fuck me
-
Merino is just class, so composed on the ball. Ritchie again dictating our play as well. Few nervy moments but feel we are in control a bit. Could go either way second half
-
Imagine if we somehow managed to finish top half and they went down again ?
-
You just know they will somehow manage it (And hopefully lose in playoff final)
-
I'm not even thinking in terms of staying up at the moment. We've just won three in a row and Rafa Benitez is our manager, we should be looking at what it will take to finish top ten, and in those terms, a draw would be decent. We showed last year that we can beat them, and I wouldn't be surprised if we do. Agree and think we have one of the best defences at present. JUst realistically we need to stay up and build from there. Top 10 would be cum inducing right now.

Free hit. Looking at teams at this stage of season over the last 4 or 5, any team with more that 7 has not went down from what I can see and if we have 14 points after 10 games then mid table is likely. 2 wins in next 5 would be fine, pickup a win here and just maul Liverpool

Perez is good at the closing down space but doesn't do enough with the ball. He's a tactical player for us but we could do with some creativity and goals from there
-
That's what I was thinking, you get £30-50k per week but want a bonus to do your job properly [emoji16]

Fair play to the lad. Probably offered to come over to see Mike face to face upon which he quickly yielded. Quick glance made me read that he offered to come over Mikes face. :No more gay thoughts:

May be up all night reading ready to melt

I mean to lose 4 games in a row at this level [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] scoring just 1 goal ha. They are actually going to get relegated

Hahahaha breathe breathe hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

From Pardew and Mcclaren to Rafa :-) - Those 2 tried to implement a system and talked shit / looked retarded whereas Rafa just get's to work and takes it in his stride. Actually knowing how to coach and how tactical systems can be implemented helps of course. Pardew just wanting big people to lump ball and call it front foot attacking - CUNT While I love all out attacking and beautiful play, I love how good we are defensively, well organised, compact and press as a team these days. It's quite refreshing and is developing a solid base. I wonder which fuck nugget will come in and destroy it next
-
Atsu looks a million times more dangerous than when he first came, hoping Murphy can develop under Rafa's coaching as well. Rafa has probably seen the raw attributes and attitude and thinks he can coach the tactical side into him. I think you are right that he needs to play a squad role but will get plenty of game time alongside Aarons I suspect (I think Rafa is easing Aarons into it to avoid recurrence of injury)

The main difference is that our centre halves are not total pussies in the air. Both Clark and Lascelles are decent in the air. Clark just seems to know his position well and more often than not makes the right decisions in terms of closing down, standing off and clearing the ball. Rafa has coached players to be consistent even if they aren't flashy / can't dribble the ball 50 yards after leaping like a salmon.
-
I see what you are saying but it's his first 4 games, if he's implementing a different style it may not go right at first but they should have persevered for a few more games.
-
We don't need ambition this season, just stability. Staying in the league and hopefully stuff getting sorted between Rafa and Ashley would be a good season. I think we will win a few games we aren't expected to against bigger teams as well.
-
That's just ridiculous. Yes it's a bad run but sometimes it needs time.
-
We may well be no more than a pig's ear, but we are expertly hand-stitched by an artisan, using the finest silk thread. He's probably the best tactical manager in the league behind Mourinho, Pep, Klopp and Conte. If anyone can keep us up with our lack of resources it's him and he has developed a pretty decent well organised team
-
I often wonder these days if the likes of Colback, Gouffran & Anita have skewed our vision so much that a player comes along, does the basics well and we instantly think he's a world beater Of course that's possible, it just feels like an age since we had a decent one, although with Shelvey and Hayden we have a much better midfield than when we got relegated and no Colback in sight :-)

Joselu hatrick

He's just a proper midfielder compared to the shit we have been used to. His use of the ball and the ground he covers is immense. Add to the fact he knows how to get his body behind the ball and draws fouls all the time makes him a starter. Whether Hayden or Shelvey starts alongside him i'm not sure, I could see how Shelvey would benefit massively playing alongside him.
-
Fuck off, he was terrible. Thought Hayden had a few blips but covered it with his defensive play
