Thing is even if he only gets 10 to 15 goals, I'm certain he'd setup quite a few to make up for it. He's got good attacking passing and movement, someone who's pretty good at using the ball well in the final 3rd. We need as much of that as we can get in this squad. I'd be happy if we got him, ideally for around £10m at the most. I do agree with this, I think he would contribute a lot and would certainly take him. But I also think that if used right ( ) we have the talent to provide chances to an outright goalscorer so in an ideal world would look elsewhere right now.

I think Welbeck is a good player all round but wouldn't be particularly confident in him scoring 15-20 goals for us.

In all fairness, as useless as I think he is, he wasn't stand-out-shite. He stuck in a decent cross and worked one or two close passes in his time on the pitch. If it wasn't for the fact that we all know he has no bottle when it counts, you could say he deserved to have been given a chance after his pre-season.

I personally just simply don't rate Santon at this point in time, he looked promising but hasn't really improved at all. That's not me writing him off completely, I'm just disappointed he hasn't reached his potential (yet). I'd be delighted to see him come good but I'd like to see Haidara given a shot for a run of games.

Based on what we know about our non playing staff it's highly likely that the actual training completed at Arsenal and us is streets apart.
