  1. Wigan isn't a big football area either (is it?) so the fan base is going to limit them massively.
  2. Usually whenever I've heard Wilkins commentate, he's been amusingly shit, partly because he always seems to love everything that happens - he's too happy, but it was almost as if he had a hidden agenda with us. As others have said his comments on Cabaye were ridiculous, it was obvious he was genuinely hurt yet he he kept going on about it. Pathetic. And Cabaye was hardly rolling around in agony/play-acting either, he knew his game was over but he was still fuming over the tackle. Wouldn't shut up about Ben Arfa either, and despite us having pretty much all the possession for long periods and restricting them to long shots he was insistent that QPR were the better team. I personally thought QPR's attitude when we were passing the ball around was disgraceful, they didn't look like they wanted to get anything out of the game and didn't put any effort in to close us down. Hughes has a bit of a job on to keep them up based on that performance.
  3. Is it balls he hit wide with nobody within 50 yards of him a couple of weeks ago Really? Only going by what I've seen, which isn't loads. Against us last year he looked good.
  4. Give Walcott his dues, as inconsistent as he is, his finishing when through on goal is pretty decent.
  5. Feels really strange that its mid Jan and I'm actually worried about Arsenal getting a result and the impact it will have on us.
  6. Meh, it weren't the greatest game but I think we put in a professional shift, looked pretty much in control of the game after the first 15 mins or so.

    Danny Guthrie

Also, I must admit I'm one of those that completely wrote him off last season, I thought he was terrible more often than not when he came into the team, but I'm glad I've been proven wrong.

Deservedly awarded MOM today, closely followed by Best. He's looking like the player I thought he could be when when we first signed him. He looks a lot sharper and fitter than I think I've ever seen him.

    Sack of shite today.
  10. Believe it when I see it, but Santon and Cissokho as our fullbacks

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I have no issue with him giving the ball away. Being creative is about taking risks, and risks don't pull off every time. Probably stating the obvious but I'd rather see him give the ball away every now and then but produce what he did against Blackburn than him just play it safe and never lose the ball.
  12. Looks like he see's red mist for a couple of seconds when he turns round
  13. Certainly seems like he can't see that they don't want him....
  14. This is great tbh. Agreed, love it. Certainly not boring.
  15. What was Nani booked for, if it's anything like Welbeck's he's certainly looking to even it out.
  16. Not really off the ground, its studs showing but not jumping in imo. They were def both off the ground. Not really jumping in though, if it was a full on jump then thats the dangerous tackle or excessive force, it was free kick but that was all imo. I don't think he intended to hurt him or anything, and it was maybe a little harsh, but for the sheer fact that both feet were off the ground, I can see why he was sent. It looked like he lost control a bit. Its the intent thing too, as a ref you have to way everything up, was he in control of the tackle, was he intending to hurt the player, did he go in with he studs showing, how forceful was the tackle, what the conditions are like if very wet. Like you i can see why he was sent off but waying up all those i didn't think it was a red, or a yellow tbh. Beauty of opinion ay I'm pretty much on the fence on this one tbh.
  17. There's no way that will get rescinded. Just look at the difference in opinion on here, clearly shows there's something in it.
