didnt see him wipe it on Colo!
-
Shit Fergie wants him!
-
Sorry what do you mean by no engine? He had to be very disciplined today due to the opposition. He didnt looked any more tired than anyone else come the end of the match either.

Very happy with the result, was shitting myself at the end, I just had it in my head that they'd get a lucky goal as they usually do. Guttierez is quality judging by what I've seen, very hard working and helped Nzogbia not get too exposed. Very impressed with Guthrie, just sits and passes the ball simple. If we can get a midfielder along side him that can push on it could work well. Nzogbia was quite poor second half, and Duff was quieter than the first. Overall, very happy, good confidence boost, hopefully more will come in and we will keep improving.

I dont know why most people are so insistent on getting Duff off, he hasnt played bad.
-
Been very impressed with Guthrie, cant recall him losing the ball once. Playing it simple and keeping the ball moving. Jonas has looked decent as well, made Rooney look like a cunt with one of his runs. Colo started a bit shaky but has looked alright since. Although we're trying to play the ball about, we're still causing our own problems at times. Butt hasnt played bad but made a shocking pass early on.

Potentially true. If the midfield above is what they're going to be starting with though I think we would be more likely to get away with it as there isnt the worlds most pace there.
-
This is what I think it will be (maybe Cacapa in for Colo). From what we've got available I'd be content to see that line-up.
-
Good to see Adebayors looked gash today!
-
Ismael Miller looks like he can put himself about a bit.

My mates a Spurs fan and is usually overly critical of his team and reckons Woodgates been class for them since signing. Oh don't get me wrong I'm still a big fan of the lad and he definitely upped his game when moving to Tottenham last season as opposed to his form at Burra, but like I said I don't think he's the player we had, he's far away from that. And with his attitude and fitnesss, I'd take someone like Colo every time. As you're guaranteed to get more out of him. tbh I agree with you. Didnt realise his attitude was wrong though?? If you'd ever have seen him out in Middlesbrough you'd know what he means. Him and his mates are fucking twats. Oh right, I always thought he'd sorted himself out since the Leeds incident.

i'm not obsessed with a big guy, more about trying to get a coherent mix up front. for example none of these would really work long-term: Martins Saviola Owen Owen Saviola Martins Saviola so the only improvement he'd bring is more options in case of injuries or loss of form, we'd have, roughly, 3 of one type of forward and one of the other, and that one (Viduka) is really unreliable. on the other hand someone in the mould of Viduka with a bit more movement would massively increase our possibilities up front as they can do things that the rest of our forwards can't and complement, compensate and dovetail with another in a way two similar forwards rarely do. unless one of either martins or owen is on the way out? Nothings impossible but Keegan has said no-one else is leaving.
-
Those 3 wouldnt work under an Allardyce type as he would attempt to counter the opposition, but Keegan is more likely to impose our play on the opposition and let them worry about us. In that sense I could see it working.
-
Does anybody know if they've covered us on Soccer Saturday and what they had to say about our season?
-
Should have been 2. They were quality there!
-
Didnt realise they were so close last year but I cant help but be with the mindset that they arent up to winning it! Still see them as more likely to win it than Liverpool though.
-
Nice start for Nasri!
-
Not really seen much of him but isnt he more in the Owen/Martins category? I would have thought we should go for more a target man sort of striker. Thats not to say I wouldnt take him.

dissapointed at this.
