Biggest concern with Townsend is that we badly need a couple of proper wide players that like to get crosses in, and Townsend is very much not that and will cut in and shoot at every opportunity. EDIT - which is shocking if the stat above is correct (3 goals) I'd still take, mind. Fresh start could be good for him.

Would be kinda nice to have a player or two at least on the periphery of the England team. Might make me give a fuck about international football again.
-
Fell out with Keegan didn't he? He mostly played centre back for us but recall he could also play centre mid. Thought he was decent for us.

As we have been able to judge from the entire 4 minutes he's featured for us this season My arse. he's had much more than that and has done and will do f*** all. About f***ing time, he's s***. Soft as s***, over priced, over hyped and utterly unsuited to the PL or the British game. Wow the xenophobia It is considered by the majority that Thauvin hasn't had an honest amount of time on the pitch. What the f*** are you on about?? Nowt to do with, nor did I mention his ethnicity or race??? Fact is he is utter turbo s***, nowt to do with him being French, Icelandic or Nigerian. A s*** footballer, full of fancy dan pish, no heart, no guts, no will to perform is a s*** footballer full of fancy dan pish irrespective of where they come from.. Don't rate him, didn't rate Cabella, don't rate Colback or a f*** load of our other toss bag w*****s who infest our club.. How can you make such a strong definitive statement based on the game time he's had for us? Proper over the top If you can't see that he has nowt then fair enough. In my opinion he will never, ever produce. He will be gone sooner rather than later having shown fuck all... Not suited at all for the game he is being asked to play. You will more than likely turn out to be correct but it's just an extremely definitive opinion given how little he's featured.

So heartfelt Merry Christmas to all

I really think KI and Froggy just need to fuck and be done with it; it's rubbing off on everyone

Is Bolasie a "MOTD player" or is he actually really bloody good? Whenever I see Palace highlights he looks like an absolute monster.

Robert scored a couple of half decent goals against Spurs on this day... 12 years ago ?
-
Walker was a snidy cunt when Mitrovic and Alli had their incident, throwing the ball into the back of Mitro's head.
-
I like Mbemba. Hopefully if we settle into some kind of form he hits it long a bit less.
-
I'm not actually sure anyone questioned his technique, mind. I was just making the point that it's easy to assume he's a typical bruiser but in fact does actually have technique.
-
He's got some good touches on him. Disrespectful to label him just as a target man. The touch in the build up to the goal at Bournemouth for example was classy. I agree. He does seem to strike fear in defenders as well. Take the moment where he chased down Walker and intercepted the ball out for a Spurs goal kick. I think the Walker would have fancied his chances of taking the ball out from defence against Cisse.
-
He does quite often surprise me with his ability. It's easy to assume he's just a bruiser but he can actually play.
-
He should have scored from the Sissoko cross though, but he couldn't even get the shot off. Still, he had a massive impact while he was on the pitch and had a big hand in the winner. I think he had another similar chance earlier in the season as well.
-
He has been chasing lost causes more, seems more available and is making more decent runs in behind. Should have done better with the change he dragged wide. I'm just glad we don't have to rely on him for 90 minutes. Perez and Mitro to come on is a great set of options. This is a fair assessment.

Jesus, the tinted specs on some people. I don't like Cisse at all and would happily see him shifted, but I'm not going to let that blind the fact that he contributed well at times today.
-
He's playing well.
-
Ah you must be right if you're using the dismissive
-
Yeah Cisse played alright. I just don't trust him to do it regularly.

Clearly dying for a move to Spurs
