If Janmaat is onside it's absolutely f***ing ridiculous. Can't believe they didn't give us a better replay. Didn't Mbabu keep them onside, or are we talking about the header across the goal? The goal that was ruled out for us Ah yeah, I can't believe we didn't get a decent replay for that.

Gouffran sticking out like a sore thumb ability wise

Not bad, I think Man City will eventually finish us off. Gutting that Mitro didn't put that chance away. Some nice football at times.

A'disinterested' Cisse has already done as much this season as Riviere did all last year. Whether McClaren can get anything out of Rivière is an unknown at this point (no matter how likely it is he'll be shit), so I'd prefer to see him than Cisse. Ideally neither set foot on the pitch for us, mind.

Given Cisse's apparent lack of interest in playing for us and the fact that he offers bugger all at the moment, I'd sooner see what McClaren can do with Riviere than see Cisse line up for us again.

Game of two half's for me very good in the first, playing exactly how you should against the better teas but second we played exactly how you shouldn't and allowed Chelsea onto us and too much space. We need a manager who will when winning actually continue to try and win the match and not just hold on if we do actually score first - we had nearly five year of it under Pardew and it certainly won't change under this bloke either. Why won't it change under "this bloke"? I've heard more to the contrary from people that have seen his teams play over the last few years. Have you seen his teams play over the years are you kidding me he is one of the most negative managers going lol I call bullshit. My best mate is a Derby fan, and whilst McClaren may not have achieved what was expected of them, he's been anything but negative. Biggest s*** I've read on here and that's saying something - I don't need an alleged best mate to tell me what I can see with my own eyes. Other than that it being clear you've made your mind up about McClaren based on an initial desire to not like him, the use of 'alleged' really cracked me up. What a f***ing fraud I am - Lenny is isn't even my real name. Ask yourself why I made my mind up about McClaren it's not rocket science - the fact that you need a so called friend to try and establish a point makes you pretty sad when anyone watching could see over the years he has and always will be a negative manager. You carry on believing though. So you're telling me your opinion on "the bloke" is more valid then someone who watched Derby play for 2 years before he came here? Oh and btw Lennys "so-called" friend is actually a very knowledgable football fan. My point was that because I have a mate that supports them it's meant that I've seen a fair bit of Derby for myself over the last couple of years, not that I'm blindly accepting the opinion of someone else as fact. Based on other people's comments above it looks like I'm not in the minority, so I'll leave him to 'carry on believing' and get back to my 'so called' mate.

I would disagree with that tbh. We scored just before half time, and as soon as we came out for the second half we dropped back and looked like we were going to protect the lead first and hope to counter on the break. Even though it worked perfectly in that we doubled our lead, in the end we ended up giving them so much of the ball that it allowed them to apply pretty much non-stop pressure. Having watched Spurs last 3 games on telly, the contrast with Pochettino is pretty obvious. They seem to play the same way for 90 mins without getting knackered. Should be pointed out that it took Pochettino most of last season to get it right, mind.

Really boring, this.
-
In some serious, serious trouble now. Will likely be adrift after the Chelsea and Man City games with morale rock bottom.
-
Obertan completely switching off at the wrong time. Surprise.

Another yellow for Jack

Yep, he needs to be the one taking the game by the scruff, particularly being the centre mid. Something wrong when a centre mid barely sees the ball. We're not even playing hoofball either. Our midfield will never work under McClaren, he wants two of them sitting so deep they're almost part of the back line then his front "three" to far forward laving a massive gaping hole. And what evidence is there that McClaren won't learn/adapt? Have you seen much of him prior to us? Seems a bit extreme to say "will never work" IMO. Well it has been a massive problem since our first game under his management and he has shown no desire to change it despite it being obvious from very early on. You can't change your system every game though otherwise nothing will ever stick. Grand scheme of things we're only a few games in and the players won't adapt to anything if we're constantly chopping and changing. I do think it's time he changed it though, as it's not working.
-
Fuck sake, get the ball in an advanced position and we turn back.
-
Get a goal before the half and you never know. Can't see us getting it. We not playing well enough and also getting no luck.
