  1. Dream team for this: Pope Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn Willock, Bruno, Joelinton Miggy, Isak, Maxi Maxi, Isak and Miggy with license to rotate / cross over each other. High energy high press from the front players and midfield. The worlds best back 5 left with very little to do other than high five each other for snuffing out any long balls over the top. On the hour, when we are 5 nil up swap Maxi for Wilson and move Isak out wider and go for the jugular for a full Southampton destruction....
  2. They seem to be completely missing the point that we sell out every home game in minutes and it is fuckin hard for none season ticket holders to get to see the match. This means to them that any fan not attending is not fully engaged with thier club (very tricky to spell their properly) and therefore not contributing. Very much the actual reason that 10k seats are permanently closed at the Bungalow and the remaining open seats are never fully sold out.
  3. Whoooaa! Come on man! I am not Gordon Ramsey here....
  4. Never had them, do you have a recipe or anything?
  5. The reassuring news is that they will almost definitely never pull this together for a couple of reasons: 1) They are rubbish at organising anything 2) Their club will not want anything that shows a political opinion on a flag display and will almost certainly stop it from happening 3) It will cost money and I am not sure that their fake outrage at the Saudi takeover of NUFC runs deep enough to have them reach into their pockets to donate towards it.
  6. That letter is absolutely hilarious. Top lip quivering as if she was about to growl.... The inferiority complex around that clubs supporters is incredible, they look for anything to re-enforce it and while at the same time reminding themselves that they are universally loved and respected throughout football.
  7. Clever by Stewart. Staying on his feet, despite light fouling, then throwing himself down once in the box.
  8. If they could get around 10k of these it would make up for the short fall in their crowd and fill in the crowd gaps at the Bungalow. I know just the place to get them - Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm waving Flailing Tubeman.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHXvMcLrLSY
  9. I was born and raised in West Philadelphia and spend most of my youth in the playground playing B/Ball. Did a fair bit of maxin' and relaxin' but, once day I was confronted by some bigger boys and my mom decided that was that so she moved me to Newcastle to live with my Aunt and Uncle. That is pretty much how I remember it.....
  10. Holy shit, can only be true in this case!
  11. Sorry mate, was all I could think of in my current state of fume being a Gateshead based Newcastle season ticket holder, it has always been my largest concern that Gateshead may at some point in the future get taken by the mackems.... What would become of me then?
  12. I cannot think of a single reason why it matters where you live when related to which football team you support. There are many reasons why someone from outside of the area might choose to support Newcastle or Sunderland... is it like you must be born within the sound of Bow Bells to be a proper Cockney? So therefore you must be born in the centre circle at ST James' to qualify to be a Newcastle supporter?
  13. 100% that Joelinton can drop into Midfield and fulfil the role left empty by Bruno for Saturday. My only undecided point would be whether I would like Isak to drop in on the left or have Maxi play there. I am edging towards Isak in my mind. A lot rides on the performance and alertness of Longstaff now that Bruno is not there to sweep up for him for a few games. I do not doubt or question for a second the work ethic of Longstaff, my concerns about him have always been his tendency to be caught watching the game going on around him and his reaction time when a ball is played to him. (His shooting is another story but, it is fair enough... tons of players fall apart when they have a scoring opportunity - he is not the first). I am also very nervous when we leave him as last man when we have set pieces such as corners, he is the easiest player to get past, a simple drop of the shoulder always seems to do him. He needs to work hard on that defensive side to his game.
  14. I never understood the requirement to have little relationships with other clubs fans. There are several clubs that I quite like, several I absolutely hate as well but, I never feel the need to buddy up with the ones I like - especially to re-enforce my feelings towards a third club. Sun'lun fans seem to find great delight in making up stories about how all the clubs in the UK have a great love and respect for them while simultaneously hating Newcastle.... There will have been some sieth on Wearyside last night if they were watching The Chase on ITV, a question about a bridge in Sunderland and which River it crossed, the Chaser said it was the Tyne and the contestants said Tees... Apparently the Wear did not even occur to them...
  15. Fuckin hell.... that is tremendous!

By the way, some feedback. I contacted the club via this link. They are called United as One. It was quite simple to set up with them, I told them about my dad and they wanted to know the seat number, row etc in which stand and the arrangement was for them to arrange for a steward to bring the equipment to my dads seat before the match and get him set up with it. I provided all of that to them and had a confirmation that we were all set. The next home game was the Leeds match but, sadly the equipment was not delivered to the seat at any point during the game as expected so I am not sure what went wrong. I am going to see what happens for the game this weekend and if they still do not bring it to us I will contact them again. Communications have been great and all of my messages have been promptly replied to so I was surprised that the gear did not get sent to us for that game.... shame!
  17. This Blueprint feels familiar.... very similar to the Mike Ashley school of owning and operating a football club, buy low sell high. That sounds like it should be the perfect solution to developing a solid and financially sound football club but, the truth of it was that it was a disaster. All the time your club is out searching for undiscovered gems and young players with huge prospects the rest of the league is buying established players who can hit the ground running and take that club forwards. For every one gem that is found there are many duds that do not work out. We also both suffer from a geographical disadvantage, no matter how you dress it up the North East is not as attractive as London, the South in general and the North West. This will always be the case, maybe we can compensate this with a nice financial package to potential players but, there is no way to do this on the cheap!
  18. Hello Teddy, Welcome back. I can imagine it is tough feeling like you are in the centre of a pack of wild animals who are circling around you, closing in, looking for a point of weakness so they can pounce.... Most people on here are going to treat you well and with respect as long as you do the same. Of course there will be some sniping, you may call in banter or you may see it as baiting for a reaction.... all amounts to the same thing. It is always fine with us to have an opposing fan in the group to add some flavour and alternative opinion. Hopefully you last a bit longer than last time and have slightly thicker skin for the banter...

    St James' Park

May I be the first Old Bastard to say no thanks to this....

    St James' Park

That is interesting. Of course we would have many more issues to deal with here, aside from the safety aspect.... Some people in existing seats inside of potential standing proposal areas will not want to stand and they would need to be moved so somewhere that is agreeable to them... It is impossible to please everyone though.

To be honest - I think you are right. I was speculating on the reintroduction of terracing (which will almost certainly never happen)

    St James' Park

The thing with this design is that it includes 32k standing supporters, aside from this not being likely to be approved these days we could get more than that number standing with the current design if they took out the seats, in the lower parts of the stadium and replaced it with terracing, like the good old times. Has anyone been into the City Hall for a gig when the "stalls" seating is removed? It is bloody great!
  23. Has anyone noticed how easily players get past him with the ball? A simple drop of the shoulder or a step over and he is done. When we do corners or free kick set pieces and leave him as last man I find it terrifying.... He was awful today, not just his poor shooting. Pretty much everything was desperately bad.
  24. At least all that lobbying to Sky is paying off for them with another appearance for them today.
  25. The thing with these 10k free half season tickets that they fail to understand is that once that season was over the holder had to pay for it in order to renew for the next. I can say from a number of conversations that some of them genuinely believe these 10k seats were free tickets for life. Some of them told me they know people who now have a free ticket to watch "the Mags" for life..... brain dead the lot of them, lies repeated enough times become facts!
