I don't know how to show images on here but, I took a look at the fake fan in payuce thread over on their site, the same pretend fan comes back in to reply to a few of the comments that followed his gush of love for all things mackem, he even replied to the one that said fuck off, he replied with FTM, I guess..... There it is, the evidence that basically proves it to be a sunderland saddo with a made up username.... as if any other football fan from anywhere in the world would use their little tag acronym.....

We are spending some time wondering whether Xhaka or Sadiki will get a 5th yellow this weekend ahead of the derby.... I am considerably more concerned that Bruno or Joelinton will get a card, also Dan Burn on 4 yellows as well....
-
Wouldn't be too against that either. It can take 10 mins to get a piss in my area (East Stand) and before anybody chirps up, this is nothing to do with average Prostate size of the inhabitants...
-
When you are in the queue, been there for 10 minutes and with just 5 mins till the second half the bloke in front orders 4 Guinness.....

Betfair giving just 6.06 / 1 for this combination...

I said this at the weekend.... Why the hell are clubs like Marseille even allowed to compete in European competition? If the away team club has to issue warnings to fans that the city and area is unsafe and then we hear that the local police are also in on the act trying to start riots so they can bash a few heads with their batons then why the hell doesn't UEFA just ban them from being part of the competition.... I mean they banned all English clubs for years (for good reason, it could be argued) because of fan behaviour. We had similar unwelcome behaviour from PSG fans when they visited Newcastle. I would like to think that NUFC would raise some sort of complaint or at least register a concern at the treatment of our fans while visiting. They could easily cite the warm welcome that almost all fans get when they come to visit our city as an example of how it should be!

Almost definitely and probably that!

Same, I live in Gateshead. I tell people that I live in Gateshead when they ask where I am from and mostly people recognise it as being close to Newcastle. If I am explaining to someone who really is unfamiliar with the UK then I just say Newcastle for easiness.... This whole Newcastle / Gateshead thing doesn't sit right with me... For example: calling the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead the Newcastle Hilton is simply to attract more people to stay there and so that they can charge a higher room rate!

I think their league position and set of surprising results is in no small way thanks to their goal keeper. They are conceding chances and shots against them like hell but, the keeper seems to be pretty decent. Oh ..... and of course their new tag line; " 'til the end " That will be what it is !

As I do not have 124 loyalty points I have booked to watch the match in the NX on Westgate Road... I watched the last time we played them at the Fed which was great but, it was a bit of a pain to get to as one of us had to drive. Think the City Centre location will make for a good afternoon of entertainment as long as the team turns up on the day!! Noticed that The Stack was going to make the day a ticketed event as well... Anyone heading to Newcastle to watch this should probably make some plans in order to avoid disappointment..

This is a very familiar coping mechanism for the mackems, they always like to compare their best players to ours and convince themselves that theirs is better. Always desperate for validation and recognition. Xhaka has been very good for them, better than most of us had expected but, to compare him to Tonali is incredibly stupid....
-
It is quite sad, the weird love affair seems to be pretty one-sided to be honest...
-
Elanga put in some decent corners, nicely into the right area. Other than those our delivery of set pieces was really poor. Tripper has been poor on set pieces for a while and I thought that maybe Tonali would be taking over these but, sadly not. When you have height like Dan Burn and Nick Waltemade we should be winning everything in the box, as long as the delivery is right. Something that we definitely need to work on!

Yeah, I agree about the goals being a result of mistakes by us but... As I said his first half shots were typical Rashford nowhere near the goal, wide or well over the bar... he did skin Tripper several times though, I think most mobile wingers have the legs of Tripper though. Second half Tripper and Tino swapped over and that stopped Rashfords runs down their right wing. The second goal was one of the best strikes of a ball I have seen for years!
-
Probably already been well commented on but, Marcus Rashford has probably never scored a better goal than his second last night and probably never will. He has been dogshit for years and somehow ended up on loan at Barcelona. Skinned Tripper over and over again in the first half only for his final shot to be terrible. Then the second half he got lucky with some poor defending (coupled with Schar having yet another head injury) and then that second wonder strike! It is just typical that he has a resurgence playing against us!!
-
It doesn't bother me too much that Botman has done this but, really.... maybe it would have been better just to send him a text.... Created a bit of an unnecessary stir amongst us fans!
-
If Woltemade is to be the main striker in place of Isak then Wissa is an upgrade and a half on Wilson as back up.
-
Well that is a bit harsh about him being "pish". However, I take your point, he is not a player than can be dominating in his position.... However, With us having a man advantage and putting on someone like Osula - unpredictable, quick, mobile etc. Could possibly have made the difference and that was more of the point I was making rather than heralding anything great about the player himself.
-
We were talking last night. Should really have brought Osula on when Konsa was sent off. Having a focal point striker on when they are down to 10 would surely have made some difference. (Not saying he would have scored any of the chances but, he would for sure have made a nuisance of himself.)
-
Can we just remind ourselves of the Sun'lun "boom - bust" cycle again please?
-
Of course... it's Chelsea. Other way around and a Chelsea goal it wouldn't have been an issue. Disgrace!!!

If we are selling him to Liverpool it should be before the Liverpool match so the whole of St James' can give him a lovely send off....
