Good finish that. Lovely left foot has Snodgrass.
-
Exactly this. And shouldve been done at the end of that season without Shepherd announcing it beforehand.
-
So you wanted Sir Bobby sacked. One of the finest English club managers in history and you wanted him sacked. And yet conversely. .............. Do you ever wonder why your judgment is so out?
-
So is anyone going to trawl the dark and distant archives to find any "I love Pardew" posts by anybody?
-
They won't keep selling out if they're not in title contention over a longer period.
-
No he hasn't, Sweden are the only team he has shown that he is capable of carrying Portugal past I well remember him not being able to climb out of Ashley Cole's pocket whenever they met.

up there with the one against Bolton (IIRC). Dem hips. Spurs away last minute winner too in 93ish

It isn't even subtle that all he wants is Premiership survival. The only time he's spent money in the past 18 months is when he shat himself at the thought of Championship football again.

Definitely not the same as comparing Maradona and a defender... Why? Completely different types of player. My exaggerated example is just that because they play in different positions. I wasn't advocating that it's the same, more that is as facile. Ronaldo was an out and out centre forward and Cronaldo isn't. So how can you compare?
-
You cannot compare them. They are different types of player. You might as well discuss who is the best out of Baresi and Maradona. One thing that is certain is how good the two would've been together.

The sad truth is that so many of us at the time had similar stories - the main one I remember was at QPR - but the authorities (football, government etc etc) didn't listen: http://thehillsboroughdisasterdocumentary.com/2011/11/16/hillsborough-1981-disaster-narrowly-avoided/ Look at the link in the text (third paragraph) where they show footage from our semi v Wolves. This was 19-f***ing-81 - eight years before. I think that it's difficult to get across to younger fans just how poorly footy fans were treated in the eighties - literally caged in like animals. Agree, but many fans during the 70's and 80's were animalistic in their behaviour thus allowing the authorities to qualify their treatment of the majority. Blame cannot only be pointed at one particular party,if you went to football matches during that era,as I did,you know that it was society as a whole that was f***ed then,we now reside in the blame and claim culture. What happened was a tragedy but then again hindsight is a great tool in the hands of the ignorant. Yes. But we aren't employing hindsight, we were protesting at the time. And people in a position to do something had at least eight years worth of hindsight, and fucked it up. That's not ignorance, that's wilful. Look, I'm not going to point blame at one particular party - there were some horrible cunts on the terraces, as there are some in the seats today. I just think it's worth re-iterating that Hillsborough could have happened several times over, to several people on here, and that it was avoidable. I used to go with mates to Coventry games at that time. Stood on Leppings Lane in the FA Cup quarter final and it was scary but not half as scary as the previous round against Stoke at the old Victoria ground where Coventry sold out their end yet the police crammed all 8,000 into the midsection of 3 when all 3 were indeed sold out.

Can see the excuses already, it won't be the sunshine, moonlight or the good times fault. Apparently in for Billy Sharp and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro for his striking pair. Beat it. How do you know I'm not? You wanna be startin somethin ? I'm not gonna rock with you.
-
What's that anguish face for? Because as Pardew has proven lately, he hasn't a clue what our fans want or are. Pardew doesn't even know what Pardew is.

Not yet but maybe in a year or two.

Of course we can afford it, and I think we'll spend it because we simply have to. I'm expecting there to be a bit of a clear out in the summer as well that will free up 200-300k per week in wages as well. Like I said though I don't know what's going to happen. Worst case scenario is we start next season with the same midfield we have now. Then we're well and truly fucked. I think you're being typically Manchester United "supporter" flippant there. You cannot compete financially with your neighbours or Chelsea. And if you miss Champion's League qualification the gap becomes bigger and then you're not buying the highest class of player any more. And then before you know it, your attendances go down....sponsorship deals become less lucrative...and until a rich Sheikh buys you, which granted is a very good bet imo in the next 2 or 3 years, you're on the slope to mediocrity.
-
And of course it gets harder and harder to compete with the top 4 year on year the longer you're not in it.
-
Because he's a great player? Simple as. He fits in with our system and he'll be a great buy for us. Even though a midfielder is our top priority, signing Mata was a no brainer. You're right, we do need to spend big. I think sanctioning the 37m signing of Mata is an indication that they do trust him. If he continues in this sort of form, maybe they won't come the end of the season, and they could replace him before spending. I honestly don't know what the future will hold, but I expect Moyes to be trusted. I do think we'll get the midfielders we need in the summer and he will get it right next season. I don't think we'll win the title next season, but we'll at least challenge. That's blind faith based on this season, but you have to be positive and look forward with optimism. But now when top class players come to negotiate with Manchester United, how much are they going to ask for? Not 80 or 90 grand or even 150 grand a week anymore.......and in the scheme of things, without CL football, can Manchester United afford that ?
-
Why? You have him now and you're sat in 7th? Every team has a bad season once in a while. We finished 15 points behind Arsenal a year after winning the league in the not so distant past as well. Moyes will get it right, and even if he doesn't you know we have the pull to bring someone in who will. I'd say enjoy it while it lasts, but I know you are anyway. My point is you need a hell of a lot more than Wayne Rooney to get back to the place where your trophy starved fans dictate where you should be. And while you'll get away with no Champion's League football for a while, merely because of the club's name and standing, to attract the kind of players that will win you titles, the window will get smaller and smaller. I think you're finished if you don't spend massive this summer, when I say massive I mean more than Man City, Chelsea and even Liverpool. The question is, do the Glazers trust Moyes enough to fund him?

Remember that saying, no one man is bigger than the club. Obvious that in Manchester United's case it is not true.
-
Im glad he's at the World Cup. He can personally scout the players that he's going to turn to shite.
-
Fair play for the warning.

I always felt he'd end up at V V V VILLA.
