Fair enough, I just think a lot of the time we tend to jump to very negative conclusions about Gordon. Of course he has been bad, I was just wondering why.

I really like Barnes at times, have to admit. Sometimes he looks a bit like a kid playing with bigger lads, but he's so elegant on the ball and has a ruthless instinct to do damage every time he can.

The cross by Murphy was really annoying, just needed a bit more attention and it was a tap-in.

Combining Joelinton, Burn and out of form Gordon down the same side is always going to result in some very awkward situations.

I mean, something is clearly wrong, everyone can see that. Could be many things, we're just speculating. I think Kaka is basically right that he needs to relax and return to a simpler, more natural game for a while.

Towards the end I think he was just trying to force something in the hope he could create a dangerous situation, because the game was basically safe and he may as well try to do something rather than just pass back.

I noticed how often he has started knocking the ball down the line, which is clearly not what he wants to be doing. I don't know if that's because he's trying to do what the fans keep screaming at him, or if he's being told to do it, or if he's just hoping he'll get an assist and get some relief or something. His strengths are reading of the attacker v defender situations, unpredictable movement, getting into the inside channels. He doesn't seem to even be trying that at the moment.

Gordon has so many attributes and is a really intelligent player. Can only think there's something wrong in his mentality or his state of mind that's holding him back at the moment. I do think it's a bit lazy to just assume it's because he thinks he's better than he is. For some reason he doesn't seem to get much generosity from people - I think because they didn't like him before he came here. He might need to come out of the firing line for a while but I back him to do well again.

One like Tonali that I couldn’t believe we had signed. He has the potential to be a really top fullback. Just please stay fit.

I think he gave the ball away around 80% of the times he got it.

Didn’t do much when he came on but it was a bit unfair to move him into the middle where he would not obviously never get the ball.

I know, don't get it either. Especially when you've served the club well for so long. If he doesn't want a new contract I don't see what he's done wrong. If he was ours I definitely wouldn't have a problem with it, I don't think anyway.
