He tried a couple of runs last night which was something that he did a lot on his highlights before signing. With shooting, I think one factor is that he's too clever to just blast the ball into a defender, so if he thinks the shot will be blocked he'll try to take another touch or move. Where some players would just be happy to get a shot off and see it blocked.

I actually thought it was bad for us that he was playing so deep (CB?) because he's better than their real defenders.

His reading of the game and the game situation is unbelievable. It's not just running around, it's the fact that he knows exactly when that extra effort is needed to bail someone out, close down some space or whatever. Such a clever player.
