  1. I wouldn't say I hate him now, we're focusing on the class players who are here. But it is funny that he's having such a bad season. Not saying I expect it to last but I'm enjoying it a lot.
  2. Seems to have some weird fetish about proving Newcastle wrong. Backfiring badly luckily.
  3. Him going on strike put the idea that he wanted to leave into fans’ heads We couldn’t hold onto him because he made his position irrecoverable. But that’s nothing to do with fans, it’s to do with having a massive asset making himself worthless.
  4. What a load of bollocks. Liverpool rattled him into going on strike, which would naturally make fans despise him because it's despicable behaviour.
  5. Thought it was Ange in the background, panicked for a sec.
  6. I find KK quite hard to order in because of the combo of small plates and main courses which doesn’t seem to have a system. And it’s more fancy. I love Dakwala just because it’s so friendly and relaxed and easy place to go.
  7. Correct on all 3. KK is very good but I’d almost put it more in the fine dining bracket than the normal restaurant.
  8. That option just isn’t available to footballers though. That’s the price they pay for being made incredibly rich.
  9. This is what I said at the time - it’s just unlucky if someone promises you something and then leave. Over the course of a 5 or 6 year contract things are bound to change around and above you.
  10. Wish we could move on from this power struggle idea, it's nonsense. We need good people at all levels of the club who can work together.
  11. I'm pretty sure he can kick.
  12. I agree we should expect much less from referees TBH. Whinging about offside and drawing lines on TV programmes is what led to us having to suffer VAR in the first place. The culture of cheating amongst the players is also major in the PL.
  13. I was always worried about his physical attributes, particularly stamina. Don't think there's ever been another Howe player who was just as weak when he left as when he arrived, and couldn't be effective after 55 minutes.
  14. Also less people on to compete with at that time.
  15. That's true but there are different ways to manage your career and different ways to leave. Because of how he left I now think of him as a rat, that will always be my overriding feeling about him now. Of course he did some good things for us before he became a rat.
  16. Yeah, I live walking distance to town and don't really drink much so match days are relatively cheap for me personally. Still adds up quickly when you have multiple home games in a month.

What do you mean by tackling though? Surely pressing high and trying to win the ball back is very close to tackling?
  18. I was thinking of reducing my attendance this season, maybe skipping the cups, but hasn't happened yet. Also the games I might skip are usually the ones where my brother is free and it's possible to get 2 tickets together, so that's why I went to the likes of Bradford.
  19. It's just a bit sad to be sitting on the sofa watching it when I could be heading up to SJP. I feel like it's worth it at the moment, although months with 3 home games are sometimes a slog (and expensive). I mean, 'worth it' is maybe the wrong way to think about it, it's just what you have to do if you want to go to a match and don't have a ST. I'm also lucky I work at a desk and don't have anyone checking how often I'm refreshing the NUFC website.
  20. Well opening the site and refreshing it doesn’t add up to much. You might do hundreds of refreshes over the week but the time for each is measured in seconds. It’s on your mind every time you have a free second to get your phone out, but I wouldn’t imagine the actual screen time is too many hours. Most time goes into the 10am sales for me, refreshing is just the final backup option.
