Still feel it’s a bit unfair that people who know ST holders have a much bigger chance of attending away games. But practically it doesn’t matter to me personally. Pointless worrying about it when the supply of tickets is so tiny.
-
My regret at not ordering the hoodie is immense. Just couldn’t bring myself to drop £170.
-
I think we have unrealistic expectations TBH. I can't remember a time when the atmosphere was consistently amazing, it depends on the wider situation. and what's happening in the game. I couldn't get a ticket regularly in the peak 1990s times, maybe that was better. But I can definitely remember, for example, the crowd doing a lot of groaning and being quite difficult for the home players during the bad times.
-
Sounds like it wasn't knowingly. Still tough obviously.
-
It was more like 'wahey, we've got the inevitable goal against this team who aren't attacking us at all'.
-
Everything is OK, it’s just annoying because our two senior strikers are injured.

What? -
Nah, just saw a couple of empty seats at the front of the gallowgate and walked around. Since the play was all towards their goal.
-
Always depends where you sit. I switched ends at half time and in first half (Leazes) it sounded pretty bad and all I could hear was away fans. Second half (Gallowgate) was very different (but still not good). Away fans are at an unfair advantage anyway, because they’re the most vocal and generally very dedicated to fan culture. Wish we could ban those songs where the away fans mock the home fans, because everyone could do it to almost anyone else.
-
Very content then. It was fine.
-
I came out of the ground very happy and it was weird to hear that anyone was concerned. It was absolutely standard.
-
Tonali is a guaranteed starter now.
-
I would like just Osula to the tune of how people used to sing ‘the Leazes’.
-
He's where I expected him to be too, so not sure what we're debating
-
Yeah, I think both of those things can be true though. Barnes has played so well that it's fine to move Gordon away from RW, and of course Isak has been injured more than we would have expected. But looking at the lineup of strikers if everyone was available, Osula is third choice striker IMO. Circumstances, especially the fact that Isak and Wilson are injured so early in the season (before the EH bedding in period), mean that Howe is happier going for Gordon. I don't have a problem with that, but I still understand Osula's overall place in the squad.
-
Not for the whole season consistently, no. But Wilson would still have been considered 2nd choice overall. Also we've got the issue that signing a permanent second choice is very difficult given Isak is (supposed to be) starting every game.
-
I think so, yes, but since nothing has been built I imagine money could talk. It's going to be a while before the economy is good enough to guarantee profit from city centre housing in Newcastle, I would imagine. In an economic boom, they would've already started building it.
-
Seems obvious they thought he would be third choice. Don't see how there's any doubt about that.
-
Why did we sign him then, and why did he come?
-
I thought it was a red, certainly far less reason to overturn it than with Schar. Bizarre decision.
-
True but also they have plenty of big lads who love defending crosses.
-
I thought he was OK in general, just obviously doesn’t like overlapping and getting crosses in. Combining with Willock was quite painful because he’d just pass it to Willock’s feet, he wouldn’t overlap and Willock would cut inside into traffic. Never going to be productive.
-
Come on, none of this is a shock. He was brought in to be third choice and take some of the pressure off the other lads.
-
He’s a professional keeper like, and an international. Forest didn’t want him and we didn’t want to buy him but he hasn’t been picked out of the crowd. Would be surprised if there’s much between him and Dubravka if we didn’t know anything about the circumstances.
