It’s nonsense to me that Liverpool outplayed or bullied us or have come out of this winners is some profound way. They have more money because of the rules, we had a player with no professional standards who was prepared to make himself worthless to us in order to secure more money for himself. Even prepared to cost us millions by not qualifying for the CL. Liverpool are prepared to ignore this because it benefits them, that’s all. We have to sell because we can’t write off £100m+ and we can’t risk having a non-striker. Both clubs did what they had to do, Liverpool and Isak’s was just morally much worse. That’s it.

He’s not playing better, Burn is playing amazingly well. But Botman is a better player IMO. Nice problem to have, as they say. PS I never said we should be dropping Burn immediately, it’s just a shame that such a great CB has to be left out.

People do communicate in public now, it’s bad form if you don’t post something to your stories. Slightly ridiculous but there you go.
-
Bruno and Joey better not find out he’s not wearing Havaianas.
-
Yeah I guess, I’m just saying he’s our best CB. I don’t really think in terms of proving fitness - sometimes you’re injured and sometimes you’re fit. Of course it will be better when he’s been fit for a longer period.
-
True but since we don’t know which applies to Botman we haven’t really moved the conversation forward
-
I haven’t, no. But players get fit again after injuries.

Or... You're the biggest man, we'll follow you because we love ye Wolte, Wolte-made

Botman is an absolute Rolls Royce player, he's class. It's a bit strange how his stock seems to have fallen a bit just because Burn has been playing so well. We should be building the defence around Botman and the 2 FBs long-term.

Andy Cole was a massive shock but it was totally different. IIRC it came out of the blue (obvs there was no internet) and he didn't do anything wrong personally. It was a painful sale but just for the normal reason that he was many people's favourite player. Not the kind of drawn out betrayal like we've had with Isak.

So different to the Isak interview, even the shots of him meeting people and smiling and laughing etc. Hoping what he said about his good relationship with Brentford and trying to remain respectful is true, who knows I guess. He's possibly sugarcoating it to some extent.

Didn’t really feel much when watching that video, not sure why. Just hearing a star player say the same things after joining Liverpool that he would say joining any club, maybe. Even the questions about why he’s so happy to be there could be about anyone. There’s no real meaning behind it. Did annoy me when he talked about how he could finally get back to work like

Hopefully Thiaw is being slightly underrated by us and will come very good under Howe. I’d call it a signing with potential rather than underwhelming. I never really thought we were going to replace Schar immediately, although I guess someone like Guehi would’ve done that.

Aye he doesn’t even look happy in the photos. Sad if he’s unable to connect with the emotional side of football but I understand the £300k a week must distort anyone’s thinking to some extent. Starting to recover a bit from the pure anger and hatred of the last couple of weeks If I could change one thing in football it would be to get the transfer window out of the way before the season starts. Messes up the start of the league so much.

It’s a weird window, I’d say excellent given the actions of Ikea Judas, but we could still end up with a weaker first team because of him. Overall it’s the best squad we’ve had for ages and I like all of our signings. Just annoyed by the sale of Isak.

Au revoir.

Reminds me of my old Kwik Save uniform, but I like it.

Several charvers there every day now, should be covered.
