Some teams play far more passes out and around the defence as well. Of course you could argue that's because we don't have the personnel for it. FWIW I've never thought Burn is bad at passing.
-
Maybe they shouldn't have put both of their starting CBs up for sale then.
-
Hmm, maybe but I'm not sure.
-
I think only for the bottom few, and only if they don’t try to play possession football.
-
If Guehi has been waiting for the go-ahead to travel up then surely it's close to being done.
-
Surely DCL is a complete non-starter.
-
Guehi in, couple of the bomb squad out on loan.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lose this but hoping for a better performance and get on top of Spurs from the start. Then we could see things click. -

This maybe with Trippier. PS If you pop Guehi and Botman into that, it looks immense. -
Bit much for me but I can see people wearing it, especially the t-shirts with the centred badge.
-
I can see the moments when Hall does something a bit careless or too brave and loses the ball, I think those will be concerning Howe more than anything defensive. Just a young lad though and personally I would like to see him play as much as possible. Kelly will really limit the attacks when he receives the ball higher up and has to pass back.

Based on last night it's going to be tempting to start Sandro. Always prefer getting a good start than trying to chase the game later. -
Like I said, I was worried about him in pre-season but he looks a lot quicker and sharper now.

In fluid counterattacks it matters less which one is where, the important thing is they're both on. They could both equally end up giving or on the end of the final pass. When the opposition is set I guess they're both better on the left, but I think we'll just have to wear that in order not to play Murphy. Thought Miggy was very sharp last night FWIW. -
It’s amazing how often in football a manager will do something completely against the club’s interest and freeze out a player for reasons of ego or some kind of power play. Thankfully Howe isn’t that stupid.
-
Saving his goal for Spurs.
-
No doubt he’ll lose his place but it might help him to just come on to relieve Tonali against tired opponents. With expectations to not do too much. Tonali starting just showed how much Longstaff harms the team, he’s really not good enough to be a starting PL midfielder. But he might still have a role in the squad.

We haven’t even been that bad. People are rattled because of the PSR sales and transfer window. We have a class manager and a great team. Barring loads of injuries we will have a good season.
-
Why wouldn’t he?
-
Awoniyi is their best striker for a start.
-
I was worried in pre-season but he looks a lot better now. Best dribbler apart from Isak, looks very dangerous at times.
-
Think he’s going on the back of the away kit.
-
We played class at the start and good at the end, just a bit dodgy in the middle. We’re vulnerable to energy at the moment because we’re not playing confidently and fluidly, but it’s just the start of the season. PS Tonali is bellisimo.
-
He’s fucking class. It shouldn’t be so unusual for a CM to be good at moving and passing, but there you go.
