Agreed, but TBF that would mean injuries to 3 first team CBs at the same time. Which I think most teams would struggle with. Don’t get me wrong, Guehi would’ve been amazing and sorted the position for years. That’s why I understand going after him so hard. But it’s not like there was a burning desire to get Schar out of the team ASAP.

Fairly. My point was ‘relying on Schar’ is not a disaster, most people expected him to start every game this season anyway.

I don’t think Schar starting games at RCB for us has ever been considered a problem before.

Don’t see how palace will be happy either. He’ll play for them for 4 months and then they’ll lose him for a much lower fee.

I think with RW it’s as much about squad spaces, and also about the overall budget. And the club don’t see Almiron and Murphy as worse than shit like the fans do. It’s never going to be our transfer strategy that ‘anyone is better’, that’s not how we’ll be working.

Nobody can argue with the facts of the window. What I don’t understand is what people get out of an excessive reaction and hammering the club when it’s better than it’s been in living memory. Unless you’re a goldfish I don’t see any reason to be angry. It’s weird.

Thought it was a very good press conference, as expected he has a realistic view of finances and a good relationship with the other people at the club. And repeatedly said we did not just put all our eggs in the Guehi basket.

Appreciate the effort in this post but there's no evidence that there's any 'toxicity' here at all. Maybe an adjustment period and some instability that happened too close to a transfer window.

We have truly jumped the shark now.

Should be fine, it's OK even on the general sale if you get in early enough. So ballot winners period I would expect no problem.

The club really has to sort this.
