I just mean that people think the world will end if we don't sign a RW, so signing a top-level PL defender isn't really getting the reaction it should. I agree it's needed.

True, but we're set 'almost' everywhere else. It's just the RW people are sensitive too because they hate Miggy. No PL team is perfect.

I actually think the strategy of going for Guehi, who would be a different kind of signing to what we've done before, is solid. Sometimes it's OK to pay big money to add someone you know is going to be class. It's just a shame we didn't get it done quickly and it dragged on publicly for so long.

I agree but the defence issues were mainly to do with the midfield injuries and Pope being out.

Yeah, he's really dangerous but I guess he's not for sale. Thought about him as an option originally.

I take it as good news as long as it's not off. I'm sure we never wanted it public like this in the first place.
