According to a lot of people our season is over and I've still had 3 ballot failures each for West Ham and Everton in what could be considered fairly unattractive fixtures. For me it really depends on season tickets, how many more we could sell. I'm thinking you could probably sell 20 or 30k, then you have to have some for corporate and general sale. So that would take you to 80k ish. It probably won't always be full for early league cup fixtures, but that's about it.

To be fair I go in mega-early but I just go straight to my seat.

If I was someone else, I don't think he's a good buy for £25m or higher. You could probably get one of the Blackburn midfielders that bossed him for that. Prices are always a bit random but I don't think he can form part of a reliable PL midfield unless his colleagues are extremely fit and fast. And even then he will give the ball away because of his lack of technical quality, balance and agility. That said, I'm not against keeping him as a squad player as long as he doesn't start too much and the options around him are better.

I fully intend to play.

This philosophy will be handsomely rewarded when we have the players available and fresh again.

If Howe saved a club from relegation, qualified for the Champions League, then qualified for Europa despite an unprecedented injury crisis he'd get a B+. Generous.

Expect they will.

Momentum for a season works in both directions, or snowball effect or compounding or whatever you want to call it. Teams can get on a roll and setbacks don't affect them, teams can get in a hole and minor positives fail to turn it around. We fell into a massive hole due to injuries (and fixtures) and so the season could never really take off.

I feel like we need to resist jumping to the potential end point and judging based on that. We’ll never break the top 6, we’ll never break the top 4, we’ll never win the league etc - all that is basically unimportant to me at the moment. I feel like we’ve only just been liberated from an incredibly awful period under Mike Ashley and everything is brilliant. We don’t have an amazing squad yet but it’ll get better and better. I know it’s annoying when someone says this but we really do need to just embrace the journey and see where we get.

Also we've already broken into the top 6, I'm not really sure what that concept means.

What happens next season is the most important, there's no doubt he has great ability but I guess it must be system or position-related doubts in Howe's mind.
