  1. The Olympics isn't amateur at all though, Usain Bolt isn't stacking shelves between tournaments.
  2. Sorry, that's bollocks. He's hardly going to comment on every press rumour.

    Alan Pardew

True, but we haven't built a whole team from scratch - Nolan is the only player who has left.
  4. Some scamp has updated his wiki page to say he's joined us for £6m.
  5. He obviously doesn't appreciate NUFC that much if he thinks it's a no-brainer to give up the number 9 shirt and local hero status to go and join Liverpool.
  6. I guess it's good he's honest, but that does reveal his total lack of tact and awareness of what he's saying. His use of hashtags really annoys me as well for some reason! And yeah, obviously he was doing something for charity here, just the "no-brainer" comment that is slightly unwise.
  7. The more I hear from Barton the less I like the lad. He really needs to just be quiet over the summer IMO.
  8. This tweet agrees with what I want to happen, so I choose to believe it.
  9. I hope it's possible, would be amazing to get him even on loan.
  10. It is possible to have more than one or two skilful players in a squad like.
  11. Plenty of people argue that the influence of Sky has ruined football for proper fans, to be fair to the mackem mong. How has sky ruined football for 'proper fans'? And where are all of these middle class types at matches? If you cannot afford to go to the game it's not SKY's problem, I mean it's 'fairly' expensive, but it's hardly robbery, especialy in the North East (Sunderland in particular where a couple years back they were selling tickets for the derby at £25 a pop). The world has changed and football has changed with it, if it wasn;t SKY it would be somebody else. I'm not arguing on the substance of the point, I agree it's much more complicated than he's making it sound. I was just saying that he's not the first person I've heard make comments like that.
  12. Isn't Sturridge just someone who would be a good signing in theory though? No indication yet he's leaving Chelsea or we're interested.
  13. He's the same age as me FFS! I'm a bit younger, I'd better get studying my coaching badges.
  14. Good luck to him, think it's amazing that he's a young man who's a specialist coach/manager and never been a player.
  15. Plenty of people argue that the influence of Sky has ruined football for proper fans, to be fair to the mackem mong.
  16. off to the pet hates thread for me! I know it's not called that, I'm just saving typing. Sorry, I'll refer to it as the Association Football Team for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Games of the XXX Olympiad in future.
  17. Ben Arfa I'm almost sure will play in the hole behind a striker, Fergie is still young, Marveaux might be brilliant but is still totally unproven here. I'm biased because I love Jonas, but I definitely think there's a place for him in the squad.
  18. I wish they would all just suck it up and sign up for GB2012. There's absolutely no chance of anyone losing their independence. Can you image England signing up to a permanent GB team either?
  19. Would be a nice gesture if he'd agree to take a sizeable pay cut to join Leeds.
  20. Good news that, would be wary of the amount of players we're signing with dodgy medical records.
  21. If we're going to have to pay something like 75% of his wages, may as well keep him and let him help put cones out or something.
  22. Yep, in goalkeeping parlance the "shirt is Jonas's to lose". Still no idea how good Marveaux will be, I would introduce him gradually. HBA will need the same treatment as well I guess.
  23. Definitely, can picture him chain smoking outside a cafe. Think he could find a better football team though.
