  1. Yeah some people were being ridiculous! Can't understand comments of "he's good enough for where we are now". How is the worst starting right back in the league good enough for us unless we're hoping to finish bottom? Have you been taking crack?! Worst RB in the PL? Howay man, take yer heid for a s****. Have to just echo this, crazy statement. Me too, completely absurd thing to say. Who was a worse starting RB in the PL last season? Steven Carr Not a chance. He was fucking gash when he was with us like but was far from being as bad as Simpson last year. Don't know why we're even discussing this, Simpson had a good season by all accounts.
  2. Yeah, that's my feeling as well. Doesn't mean we'll cough up for him or he'll come here, but it's a fair point.

  4. It doesn't bear thinking about if he'd forced that Enrique/Riise deal through. What a tool.
  5. I have no idea what that means.
  6. I thought he'd died when this thread was at the top of the page.

    New Number 9?

I couldn't see us going for him because it seemed we were ignoring all domestic targets, but Ba, Taylor and N'Zogbia interest suggest otherwise... If Chelsea do sign a striker, then maybe.. just maybe.. He would certainly do well here with the through balls from the new Frenchies. I think Chelsea would be stupid to let him go, but like you say they might prefer to spend a fortune on someone from abroad. And he's had a good taste of first-team football now. Still unlikely, but I would love it.

    New Number 9?

Signing Sturridge would kind of make me think this whole transfer window had been a dream.
  9. Simpson will definitely start the season at RB I imagine, can't see the club being keen to buy a replacement.
  10. I think it's maybe taking the logic too far to assume that we'll get rid of Colo when he reaches the same contract situation as Barton and Nolan etc. He is much more valuable to the team than either of those, he's a CB so will peak later and play later, and hopefully the club will be in a slightly better position by then. I'm hoping we're not applying these contract/wage principles blindly in every case. Anyway, I think we can relax until next summer either way.
  11. Totally, I agree, just difficult to avoid the selling all our best players vibe around here recently.
  12. Selling Colo cannot happen, it would be absolute madness. We're reducing costs everywhere, let's used some of that money to make sure we keep our shaggy-haired legend.
  13. A goal every six games for a young lad in the Premier League isn't really that bad. Especially when the minutes he's getting only come in fits and starts.
  14. It's weird feeling sorry for other fans because of their owner.
  15. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110617/united-raise-the-ba_2281670_2378205 so predictable. Nice. Sure we haven't seen the last of the cringe-worthy Ba headlines.
  16. Still don't understand why so many people seem to relish in writing off Ranger and slagging him off. So he's a young lad who's a bit of a G, so what? He's got time to sort his attitude, although the signs aren't good. Joey Barton and Andy Carroll have done far worse stuff.
  17. Wonder if Wazza is going to either of them.
  18. Will be a new feeling to think one of our strikers might actually be a threat to opposition defences.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

People should be paying us to play with Ben Arfa TBH.
  20. This Shows he is confident in his knee and willing to prove himself as well, I suppose.
