  1. If it's just about his personal wages. But then again, you still need to have standards and you can't pay people anything just to keep them. The best justification for him leaving is that he thinks FFP will limit us too much and he can do more, quicker, at Man Utd. But pure speculation of course.
  2. It’s more about the project than the traditional status of club. Of course Man Utd are currently a bigger name club around the world, but that’s not the only consideration. Anyway it’s up to him, if he wants to go it could be for any reason. Maybe just more money.
  3. Agree but if he doesn't want to be here we just need to extract as much money and make it as difficult for Man Utd as possible.
  4. I’m undecided about the penalty box itself. Agreed on the decision-making aspect but there is some drama and excitement as a player approaches the box.
  5. Definitely for diving, been wanting this for years. I thought about starting a diving social media account to call people out each week, but I couldn't be bothered in the end and thought I might be sued for libel
  6. It feels likely to me that the regulations will have to be relaxed soon, in some way anyway. It doesn't suit the PL to starve itself of money and have deadline days where nothing happens. It's meant to be the most glamorous league in the world. I know top clubs don't like others to catch up, but the PL as a whole doesn't benefit from keeping money out. I guess because of the members-club nature of the organisation, maybe it doesn't have the capacity to make decisions for the benefit of the whole.
  7. Bruno is not likely leaving, wash your mooth oot.
  8. Whatever happens surely he can't join them any time soon? Like when we got him from Brighton, there should be a long notice period and a long period of gardening leave, so he can't take too much knowledge with him. Disappointed in him if he wants to go like, and I don't really see the Man Utd project as being any better than ours. They have made some changes but it really remains to be seen if they actually care about the club.
  9. A lot of penalties aren't almost certain goals though, it's a guy knocking the ball past an opponent out of play and going down or the ball randomly touching someone's arm.
  10. On board for them all I reckon. I have mentioned before about making the rule that a penalty can't be awarded if the attacker hasn't tried to continue play. Also I think a penalty is too harsh a punishment in such a low-scoring game, might be good to introduce something more like a penalty corner instead. A free goal for a very minor infringement is too much in this sport.
  11. Would be absolutely immense, possibly my ideal signing from the Prem apart from Bernardo Silva.
  12. No harm I suppose, recently he's been decent. Solid enough squad option, hopefully we can get rid of the likes of Dummett and Richie to make some space.
  13. Maybe photoshop jobs like Castore did last time
  14. It's hard to say what fees are going to look like with the new FFP fear knocking around. Could see a bit of deflation.
  15. He’s not a top 4 player, think it’s a closer call for top 6. Either way I’m sure we see him as a squad player or sale in the long term.
  16. I really need to remember not to play this next season.
  17. I always expected us to make Europe, question is just what type of Europe.
  18. Thought Kossounou looked very good for the bits I saw.
  19. He’s a really clever player and seems to play with a lightness and freedom which is nice to see. Combine with liking to keep things simple and follow the textbook for shooting etc, makes him very dangerous.
  20. Not sure any team in the PL has three capable strikers.
  21. Not due to the system really, due to the midfield injuries.
  22. Exactly right, defending is all about units. Botman had a decent game overall I thought.
  23. I would only swap Howe for Pep in the PL and, given this is meant to be the best league in the world, that means he’s a brilliant manager.
  24. I get the point but it’s really not that bad IMO. The bigger problem is the midfield, which would lead to almost any LB being vulnerable.
  25. FWIW I’ve never really rated Burn as an LB and I was criticising him even when we were good. I’m just saying that from a manager’s POV there must be a lot of factors to consider. And also, it’s just one individual selection so is quite a small factor in our results.
