  1. Little word for Routledge, thought he was very good tonight. Exactly sort of signing we need - players with something to prove and a bit of talent.
  2. I agree, unfortunately none of them are worth anything or any good.
  3. I want this to happen.
  4. Sensible squad building, but with slightly better players than Hall and Best, would be a decent plan. For the first team, we need a couple of dynamic, mobile midfielders... one of which would need to be a bit creative. To get those for our budget they would probably need to be unknowns I guess. Just hope we don't end up with West Ham's overrated cast offs.
  5. 5 or 6m well spent could potentially keep us up, doubt we will see massive spending... but then again Ashley has tasted relegartion now so maybe he knows that more than a gamble is required.
  6. Whickham pretends to be in Newcastle though, pretentious bastards.
  7. Reading or Shef Utd would be awesome, I'll be at those. Don't care like, as long as we do it.
  8. You cannot be serious.
  9. His interviews are class, probably the only manager who says whatever he thinks. I haven't heard him whinging about refs/added time/other team behaviour much either, which is good.
  10. It's madness this, we all know full well that the top teams play weakened or 'alternative' teams all the time... now it's Wolves they get a fine.
  11. Wow, I logged back into this thread after a couple of days, and found Bible quotes!
  12. Wish I was going, Easter comes too late for me to get back. At least it's on TV though... should be a good one.
  13. Based on our performances at the end of last season, and the players that went out, I can see why we expected to do badly. I thought it myself. Turns out we were lucky/good in that the players that went were mostly ones we wanted to get rid of anyway, and we bolstered that with some clever signings. We have a better squad and team now than the one that went down, IMO.
  14. Definitely. If we go straight back up the damage to the club is minimal. If we don't though, any silver linings will soon disappear.
  15. and i hate him as i've frequently pointed out in the pet hates thread. Oh, me too, can't stand the bloke. I don't understand why he's still involved in football if he finds all the players so terrible and the game so irritating.
  16. To blame for a couple of the goals. We won 1-0. he knows. pointing out the silliness of the bold. harper had a decent game but his kicking was crap. Sorry, whoosh etc etc.
  17. Alan Green hates everyone. He hates football in general... he hates life.
  18. I doubt it will come to anyone having to leave. For all we know Carroll might have apologised profusely and they've both moved on already.
  19. But they've already applied the points penalty, surely it can't be removed and then reapplied under different circustances? I agree it's unfair of teams to time their administration to lessen the impact, but it's equally unfair of the league to time the points penalty to do maximum damage.
  20. I stand corrected, madness if true though. Also, hasn't it already been applied?
