Nope, the Milner sale demonstrates how insane things are getting. He cost more than Nasri FFS.

Morality really hasn't been transgressed as much as some people seem to think. Barton has done many things that are objectionable, and most people have said so, and condemned him. He's broken the law of the land, and the rules of the game, and he's been (or being) punished for all of that. Now he's on his way back, and he's getting another chance. Not much wrong with that in my opinion.

If we'd signed Malouda when he joined Chelsea I'd have been very impressed, so not going to say it's a bad move now. He hasn't turned into a bad player in a season.
-
Don't know what Harry's up to to be honest. Sold Muntari already, what was the point in signings Defoe and Crouch if he's going to have to sell other good players? Seems he's over-reached a bit with signings. Some of the 'poor man' quotes he's come out with have been embarrassing as well, even if you are skint, desperate for loan deals and need to sell - keep it to yourself mate.

I'd like to think Wenger will take some action against him, but I doubt it. That sort of thing definitely isn't encouraged in the media training players get...
-
Exactly, when he heard the guys on 5Live at the weekend saying they 'thought Keegan had some moral fibre' I thought that was exactly what he was demonstrating. It's far easier just to go along with the crowd and turn against Barton. Not to mention the obvious business implications of protecting a valuable asset. I wasn't really that behind Barton, but the more the London press and cronies on TV slag him off to a ridiculous extent, the more I want to support him.

About 50% Didn't think it was that many... are most of the current team not first-timers in the League?

The Magedia Thread - Sunderland suck trollolololol

I know, the hysteria is ridiculous. I've never seen so many people with dubious moral character getting on their high-horses. The moral high ground is very crowded at the moment. -
'Premiership experience' is very overrated. How many of Arsene Wenger's signings have it?

Which two posts? I was a bit late on the button there - I meant the one where someone says 'people will write him off too quickly', followed immediately by someone writing him off too quickly.
-
Aye, but he's got a great line in Cisse/Diouf stlye bleached blond haircuts. Quite acrobatic as well.
-
^ Those two posts are beautifully coordinated!

I would be very surprised to see Heskey come in, wouldn't fit in with our policy so far at all. Neither would Atouba or Malouda really, but we'll see. Another couple along the lines of what we've seen so far would make more sense.

Some costs are in dire need of cutting. Or decapatating, whatever.

It will be unbelievable if someone actually buys Smith. Will continue the idea that their must be something that managers see in him that nobody else does. So many have rated him, defended him and/or signed him - yet he continues to be absolute shit on the pitch.
-
good skills, Colo. Reckon Jimenez and Wise were in the background when he was on the phone to Colo? "Tell him Newcastle's always sunny and the women are all supermodels..."
-
i would assume 'cisco' saying as its short for francisco Ooh, conflicting opinions. I hope it's 'cisco' so we can sing something based on the thong song. Personally, I'll wait until I hear David Pleat pronounce it for the definitive answer.
-
Xisco looks like quite a tough player by those photos on the Depor site, what is his playing style like? Any players we'd know about he can be compared to? Looks harder with the skinhead than the headband like, needs to bring that back (i.e. do the 'reverse Bentley').
-
Thing is, at least two of Viduka, Owen, Martins and Ameobi are always injured at any one time. And hopefully we'll manage to offload Shola and/or Smith very shortly.
-
Pop back every 4 or 5 hours, the rest is just mindless jibbering...
-
Sounds a good prospect from what I've read, but never seen him play. How would pronounce that in English? Would it be 'jisco' like 'xavi' or 'cisco' or 'hisco'?
-
At least the window concentrates the manic speculation and press nonsense into a shorter period. Once it's over we can actually concentrate on the football. It should finish before the season starts though, so everyone has their squads sorted before kick off. Problem with that would be the different kick off dates across Europe of course.

OK, I'm at work, think there'll be a lot of transfer watching and minimal working going on

Very strange decision again for Capello. We all thought he was going to be his own man and not just pick the same players, then he goes and picks the same players. So then we say he's the same as McLaren and he picks Jimmy Bullard, seemingly to show he's thinking for himself. Weird... Also the ommissions of Agbonlahor and Young are bizarre.
