I never abused Sunderland last time they went down, I actually tried to console the fans I knew. But some of the stick I've had this season is disgraceful... I'll be dishing it out if the fantastic does happen.

I like Derbyshire, think he needs 1st team football to make the next step up though... not sure we could give him that. Think the key is to get someone else who is mobile, Bent might be worth a go.

For me, the shock/surprise is that we aren't relegated already, that's why I'm optimistic now.

I hope we continue the general approach of going for younger, hungrier, cheaper players. If we sprinkle a couple of bigger signings in there then fine, but spunking huge sums never got us anywhere in the past really, expect into the mess we're in now.

I really rate him, thought it was strange when Chelsea let him go so quickly.

I wouldn't make any effort to sign Tuncay either, I'm not entirely convinced he's real quality. He did some shocking things the other night.

We won't get all the players we ideally need, but success in football is just as much about getting more out of the average players, and making the team more than the sum of its parts. That's what we never seem able to do... for whatever reason.

I got Barnsley and I knew there was another team exactly like them, but I just couldn't think of Bradford! Got Swindon and Oldham, can remember them from my old sticker album at school!

I think it's pretty much impossible to create an atmosphere unless there is something to cheer for on the pitch. These last couple of games are do or die so everyone is prepared to stop whinging for 90 minutes. I'm struggling to think how that could happen every week... our fans (like everyone's) are very prone to turning on the players when things aren't going well.

I thought Rozenhal was alright TBH... might have come good given the chance.

We need a lot of new players, but it's madness to think any club can sign 8-10 players in one summer, just won't happen.

What Butt did is commonplace, we need players who can do those things in the team... we shouldn't be ashamed of it.

I don't think it's mental, Owen has always had plenty of self-belief. He is shot to pieces, but physically rather than mentally. You're probably right, he just looked really down to me. Maybe he is finding it hard that his body can't do what he wants it to anymore.

Yeah, I didn't notice him at all, which generally means he was decent. (Although I didn't notice much except the nerve-shredding tension TBH)
