I love all our players except Longstaff, but Isak is the one who is irreplaceable if we want to continue to challenge for the CL places. Replace him with a normal striker and it’s possible we don’t get anywhere near. Hopefully the calculations of who we can afford to sell and keep will take this into account.

I never know how much players value things like signing for a club where they’ll win trophies and how much they value just being somewhere where they’re adored, comfortable and playing good football. Guess ideally they want both, and it varies for each player. But it’s not like every good player in the world can sign for Real Madrid.

I find it a bit weird how much credit he’s now getting based on doing very little. Not that I’m against supporting our players obviously, but for me he’ll never really get the credit back from when he bailed out to Man Utd.

Also agree but Miley is worth 4 or 5 times what you could get for Longstaff.
