Also, Graeme Jones might be a well-respected coach and tactically aware, but we're basically saying he's being expected to go up against Guardiola, Tuchel et al by himself
-
Wilson's probably just about old enough to accept managers who don't really care much about tactics. Not sure how younger players who've been raised more technically would react.
-
Many footballers don't really care who the manager is. Him being a 'nice bloke' is probably enough for a lot of them, especially the ones who have ended up at Newcastle.

Bought a ticket for Man City v Arsenal, think it’s second game of the season. May as well go and see some good football. Loved Spurs when I went there. Guess I’ll become one of those people who ‘doesn’t really support a team’ -
Bromley have beaten Arsenal and Palace U23s in the last week, think it’s fairly normal.
-
That won’t happen if he gets under Pep IMO, he’ll become amazing.

Since it's £65, I wouldn't be buying it even without the Ashley embargo. But it is nice. -

Wow, an actual good design. Shocked. -
Not necessarily, but I don’t have any confidence he’s going to be good.
-
Maybe, it just feels like a very thin line we’re walking. How long is Richie going to be a decent left back? We’re running Shelvey and Hayden in the most important area of the field at the moment, that’s shite. Wilson is our only striker. I’ve actually forgotten who our RB options are
-
We probably need a couple of fullbacks, two CMs and two strikers to have a competent PL squad. It’s mad that the season starts in 2 weeks Definitely haven’t ever felt so removed from it or paid less attention to what’s coming up.
-
Oh yeah, same.
-
I'm not 100% sure whether we would have gone down or not without Willock last season. The other teams were so bad. Best hope is that happens again I suppose. Thrilling times.
-
He shouldn’t come here but I’m not sure Monaco is a great option either. Obviously an amazing place to live as a young rich person mind.
-
Well quite. Just that doing it over the course of a whole season, and for a second time, is a very big ask.
-
I wouldn't expect him ever to have a period like he did last season. Like I've said elsewhere, might be that he just knew his job was to keep us up, and didn't need much tactical or other direction beyond that. Still a good player though and would be very valuable.
-
We have a skeleton staff, no commercial activity to speak of, no investment in infrastructure or the stadium, a non-league standard training ground. No first team signings at a PL level. I am a bit confused about where our £100m+ a year goes.

I really wanted us to go down so I could watch the PL without us being mentioned. Not sure what to do now. I might try and wait until the Champions League gets going and just watch that. Some way to watch decent football without being depressed by NUFC. -
Is it possible the Ruebens could fail the test based on PIF being unnamed shadow directors?
-
Would be like a new signing to get rid of Shelvey.
-
It’s time for us to call it a day and find something else to do.
-
Fuck knows, but it’s a good question.
-
Gallagher definitely, he’s very good. Probably fair on Lemina, he’s a bit of a punt. Just would expect that this is the worst possible place for him to discover his best form. Especially trying to run a whole midfield himself alongside JJ.
