  1. Players can't just leave on a whim every time we have a below-par season.
  2. His wife loves the toon.
  3. I’d say for a few months TBH, it hasn’t always worked but various different things have been happening.
  4. There are plenty of reasons TBH, not sure planning to sack the manager is even in the top 5.
  5. Exactly, it's mental to imagine we should be managing our schedule like Man City do when our squad is nowhere near that level. Also we are kind of vulnerable because we can't maintain possession like some top teams can. To do that would mean a significant rebuild which we also might not be able to afford. We would be talking about replacing 5 or 6 starters and we would also need attacking ability that could turn that dominant possession into goals in basically the opposite way to what we've done since Howe has been here. We would also then complain about all the low blocks we wouldn’t be able to break down. Agreed we have bought some players similar to what we already had when some people would have gone another way, but I'd argue that shows we were actively trying to improve our depth so that we could handle those extra games better while keeping our style quite similar.
  6. A decade of commercial and financial improvement I guess. In the meantime we might be able to close the gap for short periods due to good transfers and management. We have closed the gap loads already TBF, just doesn’t always play out in individual games where they can pit out far more attacking talent than we can.
  7. Can’t be many luckier players than Adam Armstrong like. Long career in the PL without ever doing anything.
  8. Preparing for promotion campaign maybe.
  9. He was always going to be brilliant.
  10. Said it before, we'd be comfortably in the CL places with just that one signing.
  11. We should rename this the react to a defeat thread.
  12. I think he was unlucky to be dropped when Wissa came back TBH, it was purely due to Wissa's PL experience and he hasn't done anytime better than Nick would do. The narrative around Woltemade is now worse for no real reason.
  13. He's been class but always struggles in the faster games where more strength and explosiveness is required. Just not his game. Nearly scored a peach still.
  14. Yeah it definitely doesn't mean anything apart from we were expecting a defeat and they're a better team than us so playing away there is hard.
  15. The way he defended for two of the goals tells me he's tired and doesn't always have his head in the game fully. Left Wirtz unmarked on the edge of the box and also failed to defend another one by ball watching and not tracking the right man quickly enough.
  16. The first two goals were basically them just having better players, the second 2 were mistakes (gave the ball away deep, Pope dropping easy ball). 4-1 was pretty flattering to the scousers IMO.
  17. Games like this are also exactly the ones to expose all his limitations.
  18. Like him but starting to worry that he's a bit too prone to expensive mistakes. Having a similar player at RB outside him doesn't help either TBF.
  19. Whatever, the point remains that there are logical reasons not to sell Willock.
  20. Guess the plan is just not to sell him now when we don't have any incomings lined up and we have 2 key midfielders injured?
  21. Don't think we were ever interested.
  22. Ironically this rat getting injured has probably really helped Liverpool and Slot. If he was fit they would still be damaging Ekitike's progress by chopping and changing between them as Isak wheezes through 55 minutes a week.
  23. I thought the celebration was more like playing it cool because of course he'd scored against a fanbase that hate him. I don't think it was because he knows he's going there
  24. Can't believe I haven't noticed you since 2023
