  1. Everyone is a stepping stone to Barca and Madrid, I just don’t want to be a stepping stone to Man U and Liverpool.
  2. We’ll see but I don’t think it’s guaranteed he’ll score loads for Barca. He’ll need to find another technical level to do so.
  3. This must be a pretty strong indication we are. And that we have had deals in motion for a while.
  4. Slightly cheap but worth it to get it done early. Doesn’t reflect well on Rashford either, which is nice.
  5. Weird to be so unbothered about a player of his status leaving. And I backed him pretty much throughout. Think it’s just because of the latter part of this season TBH.
  6. Aye, the Ravens Bar or something. Only been in a couple of times because I’m more a pre-match tea and Twix person. Haven’t been since they finished the new stand but the plans were pretty impressive. Think they’ve replaced the artificial pitch with grass as well now.
  7. Native burial ground IIRC.
  8. You would think Rogers would want a more stable and reliable option than Chelsea though. Although money obviously talks, Chelsea are a mess.
  9. Southampton runs it close for me, also Swansea. Anything on a retail park or random piece of waste ground out of town, basically.
  10. He's barely touched the ball.
  11. I think in football circles he's very highly rated, has been at all age groups. And now he has the CL exposure. I do agree he's not really at the very top level though.
  12. Just out of interest, Bayern only paid just over £50m for Olise who is arguably now one of the best 2 or 3 wingers in the world.
  13. Anything will look bad if you think of it in Elanga money terms. He should be about £350m based on what we paid for Elanga.
  14. We'll never make a good signing again, is what I'm hearing.
  15. Hopefully just moving Jesmond to Darras Hall. FWIW she’s just saying “move to the new house”. Feels more like a simple move than leaving the country or starting a whole new life etc. I don’t think she would announce that on Instagram if Sandro had already signed for someone else and nobody knew.
  16. Hey, East Croydon has very fast trains to central London. And Italian restaurants.
  17. I think he'll do well in Europe but at the same time he's miles away from the likes of Diaz and Olise who have made the transition really successfully. Unless he has another level to go to that we haven't seen.
  18. People ultimately just want results and quickly lose patience for any explanation about why they haven't been there. We've been making this argument about how Wissa and Elanga were meant to deliver guaranteed G/A while Woltemade was integrated for most of the season.
  19. I agree, but applies to nearly any player though. Especially if you add in poorer opposition. It's a weird one with Gordon, I think he's one of our best players and he will do well when he moves, but I'm still not bothered he's going.
  20. I agree that he's underrated but at the same time I'm frustrated by how his career here has gone. If he could somehow consistently play his best and maybe play for the team more he would be brilliant. He'll do well in a team that dominates ever game and plays a lot of poorer opposition.
  21. Tend to agree, honestly don’t know what level Anderson will get to. I was never that attached to him because he was just a bit-part player and I was never sure if he would break through here. Fair play for what he’s done though. Interesting if Man City really do buy him, does he start a lot or become a luxury squad player.
  22. You could argue they’re looking for a good sponsor from the open market, so the club get the biggest benefit.
  23. How are these two things linked?
  24. Jesus Christ, this summer will be depressing.
