Fulham vs. Newcastle United: 24/05/26 @ 16:00 (Sky Sports)
AyeDubbleYoo replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
Looking forward to it, want to see Woltosula one more time before a nice summer break. -
Looks like he's fully training this week, was in the finishing drill video.
-
I always knew it was temporary while Ashley was in charge, but it was at least something to help you forget the bigger picture. Always knew Ashley would torpedo it though.
-
Genuinely we could have ended up in League One quite easily, or at least permanently in the Championship. Every time I hear about an ex-PL team that's been down the divisions for a while, I'm massively relieved we didn't go that way.

There’s a negotiation about fee in every transfer like.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
AyeDubbleYoo replied to a topic in Football
I don’t really like the way Osula gets talked about for the most part. He missed a couple of kicks and looked like he might fall over while actually not falling over. He’s not a comedy character. Maybe it’s harmless I suppose, gets Caulkin an article at least. -
Carragher reckons a lot of things.
-
You may suspect but it’s definitely not clear.
-
I’m gutted how Foden hasn’t become the best midfielder in the world. Thought he was the next Iniesta for sure.
-
He seems a really good lad, wife is absolutely lovely as well from what I’ve seen (I know). Hope they stay for another few years.
-
Basically yeah, and that his technique is generally very good. He definitely scored some nice strikes before he signed for us.
-
I actually think he strikes the ball well, he just chooses other options a lot of the time.
-
I mean, a clean design like Juve is always going to be pleasing, but we don't have to compare to that style every year.
-
I went to Reading for nearly a whole season when they were good. That's how I know a retail park is not the way to go Even though I was able to walk rather than use the park and ride, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Although TBF there's a load of modern housing near there now, IIRC. Oxford is quite similar although had the interest of a missing stand at one end. I was there when they knocked us out of the cup with Mitro missing multiple sitters. I used to go to Maidenhead Utd which is alright for non-league. Bromley is my all-time favourite though, Dulwich Hamlet being a bit too hipster to have the real non-league charm.
-
Not exactly, but it's a shorter drive from Reading or Oxford where I lived at the time. Dire location though, similar to Southampton.
-
Big step up for Iraola, see if he has the gravitas to manage Liverpool. Guess you could say the same of Carrick at Man Utd.
-
I'd never want to go to away games as well as home games, that's excessive football for me When I lived down south I did a bit of both but obviously far less total games. And the aways were much more accessible in London, south coast and places like Coventry, Cardiff and Swansea.
-
Wissa was supposed to supply the majority of the goals we lost through Isak. Arguably him and Elanga have been a far more important cause of our poor season.
-
I'm very close to ordering that away kit.
-
TBH I don't think I would keep attending every home game if it wasn't in Newcastle. Depending on the effect on ST waiting list etc. Also depending on if it turns out to be a European season and how many home games there actually are. Was already getting quite tricky to justify spending so much and going to a match every few days.
-
Whether people like the transfer I think.
-
I just can't remember anything specific about him, but I do remember thinking he was good

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
AyeDubbleYoo replied to a topic in Football
Can't be overstated how important a player like this is. Andy Carroll being one that basically built his early career on giving defenders heart attacks. Should become even better as we add more players who can exploit the space and chaos he creates as well. I really don't know what we'll do with the strike force, I guess ideally we get Wissa out and sign someone else who can run in behind and press in a similar way Osula does. -
I don’t know, I’d like to think so but I generally never expect any transfers to be done quickly. Would like Gordon sold early if it’s basically already done.
