  1. I think the idea was to keep the CBs central because Burn usually receives the ball outside of the main danger area and heads it back into the middle. But obvs in the case of the goal he very much attacked the middle.
  2. Think they were assuming that Burn will always be there to head it back across and not actually threaten goal. Which TBF is usually right. Very clever by us.
  3. I like the design of a lot of modern stadia, just don't have any emotional attachment to them. It's not that the designs are all bad.
  4. It’s going to be modern innit. So we probably need to come to terms with that. Still plenty of questions of how it’s implemented and what they can do to make it less generic.
  5. I come from a family of snooker-loving weirdos. I respect it but it’s still fairly boring.
  6. Surprisingly few good pubs in central London got watching football. Always used to struggle to find places to watch our games.
  7. Don’t think you necessarily need to be optimistic. Just understand we’re in a one-off game and we know the task that faces us. If we play well enough, we’ve got a chance. Apart from that, what will be will be.
  8. Probably, but this Ipswich match doesn’t mean anything.
  9. I’ll come closer to KO I reckon, probably be doing jobs in the morning to take my mind off it
  10. Loves snooker FFS, such a boring man
  11. Yeah, at home I always look for a foreign channel now. Hope the pubs just keep the sound off until kick off.
  12. Same but in a bad way
  13. Obvious ones: Home Newcastle - Busker Theme from Local Hero - Knopfler Big River - Jimmy Nail They’re really the only ones I listen to. Blaydon Races I guess, but don’t have a go-to version. Maybe some Lindesfarne - Fog on the Tyne and Meet Me on the Corner.
  14. Not just, but I'd say it's very important.
  15. We can only assume they're not capping it at 65k though, since they know everything you just posted. I've said before that I personally think it's too small. But if they bake in easy expansion then maybe OK. Also it hasn't been announced what the capacity is going to be. In fact nothing's been announced

Has Henderson not been captaining Ajax?

Kind of, for a game or two. TBH I’m assuming this squad is fairly experimental so he can have a look at some people.

Squad looks very underwhelming to me, definitely lacking elite level players. Not sure who else should be going though.
  19. Between a D and E for me on Murphy. Squad option, but not a ‘good’ squad option. And ‘not good enough’ for the PL definitely applies for me. He’s technically very poor and gives the ball away for fun. That said, he’s somehow made himself useful to us and deserves a lot of credit for that. He’s also super fit and a great pro. Overall went D to be positive.
  20. I personally wouldn’t do it because I couldn’t stand the FOMO when everyone heads to the ground and I don’t. I don’t even like to be in Newcastle if I don’t have a ticket for a home game There are loads of reasons why people would though, as discussed.
  21. We should be targeting Scottish and northern European fans as well really. Closest PL team to quite a lot of people.
  22. If they build it with expansion in mind then I guess that’s much better. But personally I’d still rather sell season tickets to basically anyone who wants one and make it as big as physically possible. I don’t think it matters if we don’t sell out a few league cup games.
