Knew there was a reason why American sports can sell their streaming so cheap. They have conventional TV broadcasters as well FWIW, local and some games national. Must still be a market outside of the streaming (at the moment).
-
Never thought we’d be interested in Chiesa, for many reasons. When someone like that is available so easily, something is wrong. Liverpool could take the risk because they had a massive pool of wide forwards already.
-
I think it’s because I don’t watch many games on TV now as well. When I do I really notice how grim it is. Last night was Ipswich v Man Utd and it sounded like WWE.
-
Drury is probably alongside Pearce as the most unbearable commentator on TV right now. Horrific to listen to. Sky being fully staffed by Man Utd and Liverpool players and fans is really odd, it’s like they think nobody else watches games. And you should be sacked if you pay more attention to the narrative than what’s actually happening in the game.
-
So tempting to believe you’ll be the manager who gets the best out of Rashford though. He’s probably going to try it for a few weeks at least.

MLB pass is like £100 a season for 160 games live and on demand, including excellent app with ball-by-ball live coverage, and a choice of audio (including radio) from all the available broadcasters. Can't imagine anything British ever coming close to that level of quality and value - but being able to watch the games would be a start.
-
It has to be free customer choice about what team you want to watch. It’s ludicrous that you can’t buy a pass to watch all your team’s games for example, like you can in MLB or NBA. Personally I love lower league football but people should be able to watch the team they actually support. The idea you can subscribe to TNT, Sky and Amazon and still not see all the games is why I don’t criticise anyone who chooses illegal IPTV.

Nice 90 mins of Man Utd TV anyway.
-
Same with Bromley and Palace when I used to go there. That said, I still think it should be customer choice which one they’d rather do.
-
So you’re saying he’s going to play 142 games in the next 3 years?
-
I’ll go one week in singing and one week in the abusing Longstaff area.
-
While I agree, sport isn’t meant to be about who has the richest owner either. Albeit it’s more entertaining.

Design looks cool, impressive when inside, seats are packed in with quite steep stands, golden bird on the roof. I would copy and paste that into Newcastle in a heartbeat. Edit: except it's only 62k so not big enough for us.
-
What do Spurs fans not like? I think their stadium is the best I've ever been to. I mean, sure it converts to host NFL etc, but it's still an amazing place to watch football. Not that I know it week-by-week obvs.
-
My argument for a new stadium is just getting more people into matches. I don’t really care about the bigger financial effects, I just want 80k people to watch us instead of 50k.

Newcastle United vs. West Ham United: 25/11/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

It’s not disproportionate, the guy’s an idiot. -
We’re honestly lucky we’re not in league one now. We came close to absolute disaster, all of Ashley’s own making.
-
Surely it won’t be a saga this time.
-
I would think we need to get Wilson off the books before we sign another striker.
-
I think it would be pretty huge. Right now people can keep drinking until 30 minutes before KO, later in some cases. Full impact depends if it was walkable to town. In any case, the presence of the club is one of the city's main character features, so IMO it would be disastrous to change that.
-
I thought he was just trying to hard because everyone around him was shite. Couldn't have known how class he was going to be though.
-
There’s a lot of grey area between flashy and what we have now
-
Surely we could easily sell another 20,000, probably even all season tickets if we wanted. I don't want all the dodgy stuff you mention either Heron, but I do want a massive capacity and the ability to buy two season tickets together. The location is a deal-breaker though, as always.

Yeah, if he's that near the sack hopefully they don't put too much effort in. We just need to blitz them from the off, in a non-nazi way.
