I've only seen it once but to me if you cut them off at the waist they are competing in the air its a 50-50 i just didn't like what the defender did with his leg trying to add in a leg swipe to put him off balance to me that goes beyond jostiling for the ball and should have been a pen.

Agreed still think the challenge on Wissa was a pen top half they both went for the ball but the defenders leg did a deliberate sweep to try and knock him off balance/fall over. I prefer it went you hardly notice the ref which is the way it should be really.

He is but miley is also meant to be trips cover as good as the lad is he can't play two positions at once. If only the transfer window was open 🤔

Seemed like at times he was either given a floating free roll or he was picking up a specific player? Not seen a heat map but he seemed all over the place in a good way.

I know its his game and other players can score goals etc and at times give and go works to create an opening and cause chaos etc however it annoys me when he gets the ball in and around the box and he doesn't try the shot like we are playing with another striker. I get that mixing it up keeps defenders guessing but there are plenty of times moves break down as we look to give it to him to do "striker things" and instead he tries to pass it again and the move breaks down.

Not sure if thats having a go in a softly softly approach as he loves him and reports on england and needs to keep in good. Or a not good enough masked in a does do other stuff narrative. Not sure if I was expecting anything insightful.

Its a fair chunk of money off the books wages wise you would imagine its 40/70k per week a piece them all going for a free bar willock and lack of youth coming through means the bulking out of the squad is going to be costly.

The comments have been spun a few different ways in the media seems like it may have been around attacking and creative reinforcements which he down played due to finances. The sale of willock or osula may have changed that but seen as they both still here hes probably right. Stuff arrived today tshirt is a little tight for me compared to what I normally wear in adidas. The jumper is lovely only gripe is how tight it is around my neck though dunno if its just me? Also got the shirt its a great fit. All really good stuff made the mistake of going to the club shop as want the adidas gloves which are sold out online but ended up spending another's £270 on more casual wear. The gloves I went for weren't even in they checked and said two pairs are there on match day at the hut but didn't say what size so didn't get them anyway 😅

Spent years hiding behind baggy stuff (dont think it worked) adidas do a load of oversized stuff i purposely buy it in smaller sizes to make it regular fit. Like I say not going to twist too much its a good thing but just means instead of hoping they do massive sizes in things I now need to put the effort to try things on # first world problems. Bought the 95 home strip when it relaunched in 2xl and never wore it now too big and can't find it for sale any more 😫

While he didn't get injured on purpose I dont think he "deserved" a new deal but good to protect an asset hopefully he stays fit and becomes an asset to the team.

While I get the clubs reluctance to buy because of an injury crisis its not like if they were all fully fit this work would be redundant otherwise. We all know major surgery is needed due to the age and contract situation of lascelles, kraft, schar, Trips and targett thats before you have potentially tino going if he won't extend. I do understand availability and cost of players may well be more in Jan but clubs come the summer will know we need defenders and be hard sellers regardless.

In this situation a loan may be a better short term fix depending of course on the loan fee if they worried about being tied to the wrong player for years to come.

agreed I think it was the 6 min mark he tried one of his long low passes and it went straight to a Leeds player and they tried to break on us. Too many games too many mins or just an off day certainly can happen to even the best players he did manage to do some ok stuff despite the errors. I was just not sure what was happening first half at all were we trying to go 3 at the back at times? Lewis Hall was sometimes in the CB position, Thiaw was sometimes on the other side of the pitch assume it was instruction or just the way Leeds were pressing.

I dunno what metric he wants to be judged when on with neville he went on about 20 goal contributions a season to be in that "upper bracket winger". When this isnt happening is he wanting us to judge him on distance ran? Progressive carrys? Or just whatever has him near the top? I get the general ethos of its about the team not the individual and being selfless isnt something to have a go at him for. However hes an attacking player getting regular starts in a side struggling to score so yes his contributions towards goals is important.
