  1. Is our list now wissa or larsen or no one then do people recon? Openda and ramos mentioned fleetingly and now all noise is these 2 assume Jackson is a last resort late on should he not already have gone? Feels like all or nothing right now had hoped a left field option would just slip in out of the blue but looks unlikely.
  2. Why did the ramos PSG thing go cold striker didn't want to move? Only 24 and good goal scoring record for the mins he got.
  3. So maybe they really want 75m for him and we upping our bids daily to wear them down. Leaving it this late for a Wilson replacement we really do have only ourselves to blame.
  4. Sort of agree with the point ready made and proven is what's needed right now unfortunately Osula is our young plucky punt. Also technically isak is 26 next month larsen 26 in Feb so 5 months younger. Someone 23 or 24 would be better for longer term but we tried and failed there most summer its now the season (no pun intended) of forced compromise. We may regret pushing the funds this way longer term but right now we have no one in wilsons place and the other doesn't want to be here. Feels desperate but inevitable we are the ones that have to be punished into over paying for something we didn't 100% cause.
  5. First time I heard 150m quoted it was maybe a youtube video from Keith downie suggesting that sort of fee may be required other reports then followed similar lines. Not heard anything official from the club except the reply to isak the other week noting conditions of sale.
  6. Sort of agree depending on what fee they both would deal at all hyperthetical of course if its 65 for larsen and 45 for wissa it may seem closer it terms of which is the better deal. Still think Jackson as a loan may be a better option for one of the players just so we can have more time to future plan in a hopefully less peak period in the market. Also larsen isn't as young as you think he's 26 in Feb.
  7. I would like us to have more time (don't laugh) larsen or wissa for Wilson one 26 in Feb other 29 next month both have double figures in the prem sounds great. Spending most of any profit of isak fee on them as our strikers sounds great short term but we paying premiums so likely paying peak value for both. It may just be the way it is but would ideally like one and then look to put the isak replacement into a top first choice next summer it appears we aren't getting much choice in the matter if isak is doubling down. As Craig no Hope has alluded to this is the B or C list striker choice at this point but we are getting quoted top dollar. I wish there was another choice.
  8. I hear you 14 and 19 goals last season is better than relying on isak for all the output. last season wilson is not hard to beat though seen as Wilson got 1 goal last season? Its better than what we have no doubt but would want us to do better with the money feels like we are being forced into this "needs must " so to speak which i know we kind of are if he's literally rebuffing any chance to give us the season.
  9. Wissa and larsen is 100m easy so I guess that triggers isak going if thats the case it feels like some downgrade but maybe that's where we have gotten to.
  10. Can't be bothered to read the article yet but he gave up his home didn't he where they meet a hotel or someone else's house. Agree with most to kick up this much of an upheaval with no promises it doesn't rince and repeat in Jan a new contract would seem annoying but maybe the thing that gets him focused on playing again.
  11. As others have said preception on Jackson as a deal will depend on the fee and is he an isak replacement in the sense of allowing isak to leave. If we pay say 70m and isak goes we have had a bad deal. If its a loan with obligation or fee of around 50 or 55 due to his age its a best of the bunch pickup. The discipline issues and scoring around 1 in 3 should be a worry again depending on fee. Would like ramos personally but he lacks the prem experience Jackson has and has shown a desire to stay at psg.
  12. The fight on the pitch over the penalty and the red cards thing is all that springs to mind.
  13. If we haven't triggered an option ala longstaff he's contract expires next june so we won't get a fee just get his wage or some of it off the books.
  14. You expect Ashby to stay then? Bodies possibly. Players I want getting meaningful minutes less so. Saying that not exactly going to miss any "qualities" targett would have brought by staying.
  15. I guess but tino isn't technically halls backup trips is tinos backup on the other side. Despite his form falling off a cliff since the loan was made permanent its another body lost if not replaced and a long season ahead.
  16. Does it mean someone coming in do we recon or do without?

Can't prove its not happening but right now I would hedge my bets and go in and bid/enter discussions of the top 3 say choices worse case they all say yes and we burn bridges with that club backing out of it. Feels like once again 100% focus is being given on a very difficult deal/reluctant seller/fee gap and other options are parked and monitored incase it shouldn't work out.

The window closes in a couple of weeks this surely has to have a deadline that doesn't mean by deadline day we need a gaurenteed replacement for Wilson as the other fucker can't be arsed to play for the club.
  19. Think it will be after the window so they aren't "tarnished" by the summer shenanigans. Then they can then go for either carry on with the good work look at all these announcements or its a fresh start for us to do XYZ.
  20. If wissa comes in this week for under 40m and goes on to score loads then on reflection you say glad we waiting for best available option. However like you say there is no public assurance they will play ball or we can agree a fee. Right now seems to be reported at least a 15 or 20m valuation gap.
  21. You cant blame the team for isak but Wilson left weeks ago and while you may want to see how much the isak replacement was going to cost you if the money needed to be split between two strikers waiting around for 2 or 3 weeks for wissa seems to look like a mistake right now. Causing us to play wingers as strikers and the league has now started. Wilson left 7th July according to good old google The lack of a starting striker directly correlated to "dropping " 2 points vs villa.
  22. Depends what the real chelsea fee is he's on good wage and currently around a 1 in 3 goal scoring record. Some reports say 70 or 80m others 50 or 60m how much he goes for really determins to me how good he is if that makes sense.
  23. It may be the only way to get him off the sulk should no move happen. Also agree he's under paid based on skill and in line with other top players. Still see both arguments our good players are here on less or around his current wage and dont publicly put the club into chaos. Would rather give him same wage with a large goal or assist making bonus to try and motivate him till January when he may just down tools again.
