Think it will be after the window so they aren't "tarnished" by the summer shenanigans. Then they can then go for either carry on with the good work look at all these announcements or its a fresh start for us to do XYZ.

If wissa comes in this week for under 40m and goes on to score loads then on reflection you say glad we waiting for best available option. However like you say there is no public assurance they will play ball or we can agree a fee. Right now seems to be reported at least a 15 or 20m valuation gap.

You cant blame the team for isak but Wilson left weeks ago and while you may want to see how much the isak replacement was going to cost you if the money needed to be split between two strikers waiting around for 2 or 3 weeks for wissa seems to look like a mistake right now. Another non update from Craig no Hope we are still in talks we have previously offered 30 they want min 50m sounds like worlds apart and we simply can't wait forever for them to blink first

Craig no hope is fairly reliable as journos go and even his post on x mentioned 50m so we were never really aligned in terms of fee. 30/35 just seems to be the figure we like rather than what can be agreed to. More talks after we make signings may have been how we left it with them which isn't great for us if thats what we were basing waiting for him on.

BDB is probably the equivalent taking into account the inflated market year on year. But agree best 3/3.5m ever spent.

Come next summer he will have 1 year left on his deal and nearly 27 at the start of next season if he stays lets hope he contributes more otherwise your talking longstaff level fee without the 100% home grown profit.

So just thinking more on the wait till jan with 1 new striker and Gordon. Other than what others have said everyone knows summer is better value than Jan which target that hasn't already moved is likely to be more available in Jan than this summer? 40 is the "update" on 20 which was for the old 12/15m its crazy how the market has shot up makes the psr allowable losses being fixed even more perplexing.
