  1. really worried about the racist abuse hearing now. they must be quite confident and are ready to throw the book at him.
  2. shelvey's red probably will stand but is it possible to get it downgraded to a 0ne match ban?
  3. Won't happen but I'd love this Play him in the Shelvey role until he comes back and then he could solve our no 10 problem is he first choice at palace at the moment?
  4. think rafa's gonna make sure the players dont get distracted by the whole lansbury thing. cant risk any more red cards and winning will be the best form of revenge he'll drum that into them.
  5. even more respect if he was singing that then. brave lad.
  6. this past week reminds me of that week under souness that started with the home villa match and the bowyer/dyer red cards.
  7. thinks it all down to the ground move.
  8. we are going to change formation. rafa said as much when he was talking about the possible suspension for shelvey because we havent a like for like replacement. his red card has brought this forward so the deffo be new formaion against birmingham city. may well be 442.
  9. he has definitely improved this seaon. i know its championship opposition, and i'm not a fan of his, but he has been better. even whipped a few crosses in. poor last night, though.
  10. finally able to calm down now, following the reading defeat. upped our relative goal difference too.
  11. shepherd saying "i don't remember being told" rather than "i wasnt told". this speaks volumes. its not something anyone would forget, and i'm sure any hiring or firing on the coaches would have been discussed by fletcher with a senior board member.
  12. it is worldwide. know for a fact that it goes in in asia as have heard horrific stories when been to visit my cousins in the past. unfortunately there its still quite a taboo subject. its hard enough for an adult to get someone chanrged with rape, never mind a child get someone to believe them about abuse. its better now but there was a time when it was thought by kids that it was normal to be abused.
  13. i think parents are a lot more switched on as well. i have 2 boys aged 8 and 10 who play for local teams, and 2 little girls who go gymanstics, basketball, brownies etc. there's no way there'd be sleep overs etc or trips without chaperones etc nowadays. my kids are quite clued up as we've spoken to them and also its on tv all the time and if they ask what is going on in a news item about abuse , we are quite open with them. just hope this is becoming more of the case in general nowadays.
  14. I've read this post a few times now and I'm still struggling to grasp the point you're apparently trying to make, assuming that you are indeed trying to make a point and not doing a Bristow? isn't he saying eatock was abused when a player at NUFC but the abuse was unrelated to the club itself? Well he's wrong, it was on the club's watch. i dont think james is saying its any less of an offense, just that it seems the club werent in any way complicit in it. which i admits is a relief if it is true. the offense itself is not in doubt. I agree with that, but there will be questions about the club just like there is with Crewe. aye.
