When it comes to experience, yes, but not when you look at his age. Even if he's still quite young for a keeper, but not that young. Just not good enough. He's played 168 appearances as a keeper so he's got enough experience never in such a pressurised situation though.

Just not good enough. he really needs to improve but i think nerves are spreading right through the team at the moment. it must be a fucking nightmare playing alongside/behind lascelles at the moment.
-
that exactly why he should have kept the same team today.
-
he's still a kid as far as keepers go.

tbh, huddersfield have bottled it just as much as us. they could miss out on the play-offs altogether if they aren't careful. -
no probably out until play offs

just out of interest, what was the nature of brighton's collapse last season? -
diame, dummet, lascelles, colback, diame, gouff, atsu - none of these would be first teamers for any of the other top 6 cubs in the champo.

the only way we will get promoted is if we finish second. no way are we gonna come out of a two-legged semi against the likes of fulham or sheff wed as winners. -

we need a single win to see off reading. despite today's shite - thats still a possibility with our remaining 3 games. 2 wins should see off hudders and that is more unlikely. -

losing your best defender and best striker would have affected any team. in recent weeks we've also been without yedlin and hayden. thats the spine of the team ripped out. -

Even a huddersfield draw would do - points needed would drop to 5 from 3 games. -

this season has been one hell of a slog. and then there's the play offs for the teams finishing 3-6th. really think the football league needs to look at the size of the championship. 24 teams is just too many. -

if they win every match we still only need another 8 points. -
was nervous about this match until i heard the huddersfield score. thought that would relax the players and they would step up and get at least a point. worst away performance of the season. rafa could have injected a little pace into the team bringing subs on earlier. even sammy wouldnt have any worse than gouffran had been.

2 wins and 2 draws and we cant be caught. -
fucking myth that he offers more defensive cover. was more of a hindrance today.

Where? Wasn't any near me, with loads of people also having to stand on the stairs. quite a few - there was a row of 4 right next to us and a block of about 20 on the other side of the aisle. wondering if it was just people moving and bunching up next to their mates.
-
only yedlin and clark good enough to start in the back four next season.
-
we sold out our allocation yet still loads empty seats in the away end.
-
strange weekend. we needed 11 points to guarantee promotion. we got hammered but now only need 8.
-
he's capable of it. should have at least tried. tired and pissed (me, not shelvey)
-
just getting back to newcastle from the game. furious at shelvey - real wasted that free kick in injury time. i know they had a decent wall but the keeper had left most of his goal unguarded and it just needed a curler into the corner rather than just being blasted straight at the side the keeper was standing.
