Cheers David. I only live 20 minutes drive from Selhurst Park now and a lot of the people round here are Palace fans as well.

Would be interesting to see.if Carver would use what he learned of Bobby or Pardew. Mind since it seems Carver was in charge of our attacking play then I guess its clear.

4/5 on now with skybet.

I bet Palace have never had so much publicity as this. Do we think if it was Alan Irvine getting the Palace job the coverage would be the same? When they say we expect too much as we have ideas above our station (the palace fans) maybe they should question why their club is receiving more press attention than they probably ever have.

Doesn't bother us, either way he's gone.

He'll probably do alright first season, I wouldnt bet on them going down. He always does well when he first starts as people believe his bullshit for a period then realise he's a fraud and a shit manager.

Going to the pub at about 7:45, hope its been announced by then. Won't be the same thouugh as I am in London and no newcastle fans to celebrate with. I was thinking this sense of joy is probably what it feels like to win a cup or the league and being born in 1982 I don't know what that feels like

Wonder if we'll see this lad now.

Palace fans seem to think its done and the compensation has been agreed.

This would be amazing I honestly think we have a good squad and someone with half a brain could get a great deal more out of it. The likes of Anita, Cabella and many others could have a new lease of life under a good coach.

^ million for pards, I cant see any retard paying that. If I had 8 million quid I would pay him 6 Million if he would leave.

Well have the side.he played.today until injuries now. Well.probably be mediocre.to shite.for a while, well have some injuries then well probably go on a run. Is Abeid injured?

Find me a 21-year-old keeper with 1 start in professional football who is. It's like saying water isn't wine. This! Krul was tidy on his debut against Palermo iirc.

Wenger didn't rate Drogba, either, in spite of the fact he seemed to score against Arsenal in every other week. Who Wenger doesn't rate is about as relevant as who Pardew does rate. If Cisse's scoring goals, especially at his current ridiculous rate, and not hurting the tempo of our play with offsides there's no reason for him not to start every game. He doesn't have great energy levels, I think he's better starting on the bench and coming on at half time if we aren't winning as he can be much more effective when fresh against a tiring defence.

The FA would probably allow us for the emergency keeper rule.

Get them fit first you cunt, he complains about an injury crisis but if he let them recover we may not have one. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastles-papiss-cisse-going-through-4743249?

Any Geordie at the time if a Premier League manager would have jumped at the chance. If you'd been hull manager would you have turned down the chance to have him? Oh not in a million years. I would have snapped him up. I was thinking more though of the decision to not play him now he has him. (I'm assuming he is not injured tonight) Yeah but Steve Bruce is not exactly an outstanding manager. He's done alright but mainly due to luck imo. To be fair to them all there is probably alot that goes on that people don't know about. When I was young I was a blinding programmer but a lazy piss taking bastard. I had the right/ maybe wrong manager at the time and he used to let me get away with murder (coming in at 9:30 and leaving at 3:30 some days) but I was the best they had and I'd still deliver way more than anyone else anyway even those who worked 12 hour days. I had to grow up though as I got older and more senior as you can get away with things when you are young if you deliver great results but as you get older people won't tolerate it anymore as you should know better this may be the issue with Hatem.

He'd have been a class act under Keegan or Bobby. Some managers struggle to get it out of players with attitude problems, some don't. If anyone had a problem with him Keegan would have just said he'll win us games on his own and told the other players to get on with it if they had a problem with him. Pardew doesn't give a shit if you have talent or not as long as you run around alot, turn up for training on time and never question him.

The problem I have now is that I didn't mind if we were shit and lost before we started winning as it meant it was closer to pardew fucking off but hell be here until the end of the season whatever happens now. We are shit and there is no positive thing that can come of us being shit. -
