  1. In Bolton today never seen the reebok before looks quite nice
  2. You can't say that we haven't played a competitive match yet Typical Ian W response to anything that. I think Ian is right, too many people going mental. We need a forward but we aren't fucked, if we get a striker in the squad is stronger than the one that finished5th That's assuming all the players are playing at the same level as that season, which most are not.

  4. So we do have reasons for signing the player other than he's going cheap yeah? Ok fair enough, I know what you mean, it would be nice for price to be less of an issue than it is. I just hate the whole "oh no this club has bought a more expensive player than we have" thing, as if there's a league table for who has spent the most on a player. Who would you rather have, Ben Arfa at £5.75m or Stewart Downing at £20m? Price is always the most important factor. Balance of Price and Ability is, which is what we do and we do it well. Can't disagree with that. So well in fact we've finished in the top half once since 2006. New transfer system has only been in place since we went down. We've done very well in terms of transfers since then, not their fault the managers a loon.
  5. Would be nice, they don't seem to exist as much now, they all want to cut in.
  6. Should whack in a cheeky offer for Ba on loan.

  8. So are you against us trying to attain value for money? I am happy with the way we do business we never overpay and we always bring in the good players. It may take longer than others but thats because we aren't going in doubling money etc. We could offer 15 million for Gomis today offer him 100k per week and he'd no doubt be signed in next 24 hours or we could wait and get him for 7 million and on reasonable wages. I for one would take the risk of him joining someone else for a saving of 8 million plus probably another 8 million saving in wages.
  9. Monitors fitness and distance covered during the game etc. And heart rate, there are lobbies for them to become manadtory in the game it would help prevent heart attacks etc, Muamba etc
  10. I agree there are some concerns about whether he's the type of player we need, but Darren Bent is certainly not "fucking shit" Proven goalscorers are not to be sniffed at. If we don't get him, I can see dovetailing very nicely with Berbatov at Fulham. Didn't they play at spurs together? I can't really remember how they did if so.
  11. Can see JFK and Redknapp getting on well tbh.
  12. I bet gomis goes on strike and we end up getting him and that's our intentions. I reckon we did same with Ben arfa
  13. I mean, he is a nob and all that, but Liverpool are as big as Arsenal really. So are we then, but we are not in the Champions LEague neither are Pool True. I do think Liverpool to Arsenal is a sideways career move though. Not really, it might take Liverpool a while to get into the Champions League, I think he just want to play CL football

  15. Quicker we get rid of Pardew, the quicker JFK next heart attack happens. The manager after that is the one. Would love Vinny Jones as manager would be funny as anything plus couldn't do any worse than Pardew.
  16. Do french players pay that mental tax they started over there?
  17. Even if he hasn't scored or created many goals he was a decent player for a couple of seasons who now is getting past it. He's not a RB so it's laughable to single that out. For the money we paid for him I fail to see how acquiring him was a mistake on a level that we analyse who recommended to sign him. I wasn't asking who recommended him for any other reason than curiosity, not to do with Jonas as such. What i was curious about was, Jonas, Bassong, Guthrie and Colo were signed before we had the Wise DOF disaster and before Graham Carr become our head scout. I was wondering who was doing the scouting then. Vetere.
  18. Kinnears used to buying players by the pound so he's probably thinking he only weighs half of what John Hartson did so hes only worth half what Hartson was.
  19. Where have they been playing Cesc?
  20. That would mean JFK as manager, I'd rather have Pardew I think. If it's as inevitable as some would have you believe, I'd rather it happened tomorrow, get it out of the way. I dunno can't see JFK's health holding out for long, just keep Pardew till Kinnear gets ill again. His lifestyle by the sounds of it is not exactly that of an Olympic athlete and with his previous issues and his age etc. I dont think JFK himself wants to be a manager but he will bring his own trusted man. Last year I think it was he was quoted as saying he would only take DoF role if it would lead to a management role. Exactly. It's pretty much nailed on. Like I said unless he gets ill, which is probably likely.

  22. In the end will you buy a CM? Probably then play him at centreback ala Toure.
