Derek Llambias has to be on there somewhere.

Darren Lewis was telling it like it is on TalkSport earlier in response to Nolan's bullshit. Disagreed with Nolan, listed pretty much everything Mike Ashley has done wrong in his 12 years here (including the Keegan fiasco), and stated that the only person MA will hire after Rafa will be a yes man. Also stated Rafa was well within his right to go to China.

Carroll and Sturridge up front is probably the best we could hope for in terms of actual signings.
-
Hopefully he bags an own goal against us, just to stick it to them one more time.

You just know if the takeover does go through, this will happen

I was told by someone who worked under Rafa (not inner circle but on the football side) that he’d turned Juve down. Caulkin is suggesting that Rafa knew he would be leaving for a while. I have to admit that on the face of things it’s all very strange. I can understand some of the players and fans may feel let down, Mackems will be loving it. I guess Rafa has simply had enough, good luck to him, can’t say I’m too happy that he’s going to China though. Dress it up like you want but money seems to have talked in that decision. So, what's your point ? Rafa made a big thing about a project and money not being a problem. I’d much preferred he’d gone to a competitive league, improved them, won trophies and shown Ashley what football is really about. I can’t believe that Rafa has gone there for the challenge or the football and that’s disappointing. Maybe he's taken the job in China, short-term, in the hope that he could come back here under new ownership. Maybe that's just me clutching at straws but he's entitled to go wherever he wants, especially after putting up with Ashley and Charnley messing him about for 3 years.

Well fuck it. I'm hoping Rafa's statement just posts a link to this

Kenyon 'buying' the club and therefore allowing Ashley to continue with his dodgy dealings for years to come
-
Unfortunately I think the only way to fully get the crowd on side would be to have a protest endorsed by the like of Keegan or Shearer, and local papers advising fans to band together. Too many people seem to get defensive when it comes to staying away for the good of the club. Hurting Ashley's pocket is the only way to hurt him.

I really don't understand why people at this point would want to even continue going. They're going to be sitting through a toxic, self-inflicted relegation season, supporting a club that continues to disrespect them and laugh in their faces while they buy tickets, half-time food and over-priced merchandise - all of which is transferred to Sports Direct. They actually know this. Is the loyalty tag of our fanbase that important to some people that they'd be willing to go and sit there, even if it's at the expense of the club's long-term well-being?

The FA need to step in and implement certain laws that can serve to protect its clubs from owners like Mike Ashley, or those that are making just as big a mess at other clubs further down the leagues. Things can't continue the way they are otherwise it's simply going to drive fans away from football. 11 years of putting up with lies, embarrassment, Ashley losing 2 tribunals against employees, asset-stripping and everything else he's done to us should show the FA that he's not a competent owner.

I'll second that.

This is getting...intense...

Ashley when he tries to buy us back because he cares so much
