Look s the weakest link in their back 4 imo.

Newcastle v Swansea, 15:00 Saturday, 28 November 2009 Pre game thread
Lotus replied to Astroblack's topic in Football
They look a little small at the back so i'd reckon Carrol and Ranger upfront with Loven to come off the bench to keep it fresh. I would say we definitely need the delivery from Raylor and Ricky. Maybe starting with: ......Raylor....Smith....Guthrie... ....................Nolan.................. in the middle and bring on Jonas and Loven for whoever's tired when we need to freshen things up. Would stop their midfield knocking it about as well. If we force teams down the flanks i reckon our FBs are good enough to cope with most if not all wingers in this division (based on what i've seen so far). -
He has ability to carry the ball from our half to the oppostions, the ONLY player we have who can do this. He doesn't do much with the ball, granted. However he keeps the oppostion weary and makes them stand off a bit. He's a bit like a jab imo Can't hurt you much but keeps you over there while the right hand lines you up. A few fans on here need to get real, i bet they're the same ones who used to lambast Dyer for the same reasons as Jonas (Dyer was a better player, i'll give you). Every other team in this division would want Jonas in their squad, i guarantee it. We're scoring enough goals to win games and Raylor, Guthrie and Barton (when on the pitch) can play a good ball in. Enrique can also whip in a good cross, what Jonas does is create a bit of space. If we sell him to Roma in January we'll likely up end with someone like Gary F**king Teale on the wing then you'll have a proper f**king reason to grumble. People are judging our players against the 2001-2003 team. Thats a looooooong time ago now.

His Dad's big so that's handy. Good to see we're measuring the parents. Very thorough these days. If he doesn't make it he can always fall back on his Big Dad.
-
Wonder what he meant by keeping the core of the squad together. Which bits of the squad does he think it's ok to get rid of?
-
Our strongest point is our defence, currently. Our weakest aspect is the attacking 3rd. Our current strikeforce have cost us £0 in transfer fees.
-
He was certainly no worse than Raylor nor Nolan imo. Nolan lost the ball too much. Problem is, if we sell he'll either not be replaced at all or we'll just end up with some cheap clogger so on that basis, i hope he stays.

X7 looks like Simon Cowell.

I think the ball would come back a little too quickly with that team. Not sure they'd be able to hold the ball up if they needed to. Canny on the break though but i think you need to able to do both.

Yes, but anti-semitic behaviour is exclusively directed towards jews. There's papers on it... http://middleeastinfo.org/library/lewis_antisemitism.html Where does the 'Jews for Jesus' tribe originate from?

I believe Arabs are indeed, Semites.

I reckon Robbie Earle should get into coaching. Always talks sense on the telly.
-
Shirley Mort's role here was to draw contracts that his employer wanted. I never understood some fans appreciation of him anymore than i'm failing to understand any vitriol directed towards him now. He did what he was paid to do. Assuming the rumours that Freshfields weren't paid are baseless, of course!

Racist. Huh? 'Luc' is rhyming slang for sp@de.
-
Apart from the fact that you're almost certainly wrong – no black club managers in Brazil? Prove it – what the f*** is this supposed to prove? They're even racist in Brazil so it's OK to be racist in the UK? Them nig-nogs is too stupid to be managers? Try engaging your brain before posting. Haaaaaaaaaaaaannnng on a minute........you're not the REAL Ozymandias are you?

I dislike how he's become popular with the masses these days. His Facebook fan page went from 300 to 700 when he made his first start, soon people will be all "Have you heard about Ranger like?!" when we've heard about him since the day he signed. c***s. I hate it when an underground movement sells out and goes all mainstream.
-
Didn't SS say before that the bid he was involved in didn't involve SP? If so maybe that's why they're only telling the press about the one they're representing.
-
Na it just shows you are a consistant moron, whether you claim to mean it or not you simply post bollocks. Again well done though, it takes a dedicated fucktard to spend as much time as you do talking s****. I was always find him funny where as your sounding like a right precious little bitch. Go figure.

We're not allowed to complain if we don't have any better options? f*** me, Shola's our best striker but you'd better believe I'll be complaining if that's still the case at the start of a Premier League season. I'll also be complaining if Shola's starting for us in the Prem next season cause i think he's quite cack actually. I won't constantly go over his shortcomings if we have no better options though for fear i'll sound like some tired old bint with nothing to do but nag. With Jonas, we know what he doesn't do and i can't see him changing. However, faced with the option of Nicky Butt or Keving Nolan playing LW, i'd go with Jonas and accept he's better the the CURRENT alternatives. Savvy? Yeah, fair enough. I think you've missed the point of an internet forum though in that it's essentially an outlet for whinging and/or argumentative c***s like me I can be like that too tbh! Just feeling particularly superior and magnanimous today, like Must say though, if we're promoted, i'd be a lot moodier if Shola's still here instead of Jonas.

Do we have a better option for LW? No! Does everyone know he doesn't put the ball in the box? Yes! Is there any point to keep slagging him off over it knowing we don't have a replacement? No! Do some people just love whining? Apparently.

Believe it or don't, it's Carroll who has higher probabilities to succeed in EPL. Not doubting Ranger's talents but Carroll's aerial abilities is exceptional. Don't mean to put a downer on it but i think a CF needs to have quick feet to survive in the EPL (even Crouch is surprising at this) and i don't think Carroll has. I don't think Shola's got particularly quick feet either which is why i think he never made it as a EPL striker (imo anyway).

Oh ok, sorry. I see no reason then either, Drogba does alright!
