  1. Cissé wanting a pay rise (if it's true and not newspaper bullshit) after his form last season.
  2. If it was up to me I'd try to loan him out for the whole season (with the option to recall him if we need him) to a Championship club (if one wants him). After a whole season of playing regular football NUFC would know if he was worth keeping or not. The same goes for all our young players like Sammy, Ferguson, etc. We aren't in Europe so get them all out on loan if possible.
  3. I see the "we should have binned Shearer and gone with Kluivert instead" has been said again. Kluivert did nothing when he left NUFC so why do people think he would have been good if we'd kept him? In fact, he spent the season after leaving us injured most of the time for Valencia. Barcelona were pleased to get rid of him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Kluivert
  4. What a terrible, shallow, pathetic oxygen thief Tulisa comes across as.

  7. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/big-toon-survey-show-money-4037059 Why? Is it that difficult to remember the score? I'll admit I almost lost count when Liverpool tanked us 0 - 6 but I don't see the need for a scoreboard. What would be shown on the large screen? I thought replays can't be shown in case they undermine the ref?

  10. The only way I could accept Cissé being sold would be if we had already signed two first team strikers. Our strike force is Cissé. Shola's goal return means he can't be classed as a striker. Campbell is unproven and should really go out on loan before we start relying on him. Will Gouffran be a regular goal scorer? Based on his half season I'm yet to be convinced that he will score more than 10 goals a season. We can't sell before we buy. We are still waiting for Ba's replacement (Gouffran can be classed as Best or Lovenkrands replacement). Who knows if we'll manage to get suitable replacements in? Newcastle failed to buy De Jong last Summer. There's no guarantee that we'll get the players we need.
  11. The majority of the players in the Premier League came from abroad to play here. Other leagues have lost their world class players to the Premier League. Players will always chase the money, especially players who weren't born in England and therefore have no allegiances. If the clubs in Russia, France, Germany, Spain, etc pay higher wages don't expect the foreign players to choose the Premiership. Maybe it will force the Premiership clubs to produce their own players. It worked for Germany.

  14. 100% agree. Let's go out and get midfield players who actually have a track record for scoring and creating goals.
  15. Yes. See "How To Apply" here: - http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Tickets/SeasonTickets Seating Availability & Price List http://www.nufc.co.uk/staticFiles/32/bc/0,,10278~179250,00.pdf
  16. The season we've just endured and Pardew doesn't get sacked? There were numerous, justifiable reasons to sack him: - We lost 19 games in the Premier League. In other words we lost half our games. We only won 11 Premiership games. We set a new unwanted record for the most goals conceded by a NUFC team in the Premiership. We scored 24 goals at home in the Premiership but conceded 31. Our goal difference in the Premiership was -23! We were top of the Premiership long ball league. We haven't scored from a corner for over 2 seasons in the Premiership. We have been beaten by 3 goals or more several times (Man U away 3 - 0, Man City away 4 - 0, Arsenal away 3 - 7, Sunderland at home 3 - 0, Liverpool at home 6 - 0). We only won by 3 goals once in the Premiership (at home to 10 man Wigan). I could go on!
  17. Well they haven't sacked Pardew. Does that mean they'll put their money (our money) where their mouth is and back him (him hopefully means Carr and not Pardew) in the Summer transfer window?

    sunderland

Players who are potential transfer targets for Sunderland will probably be very wary of signing for a club where the manager is a strict disciplinarian. Di Canio slagging off all the players he wants rid of will drive down the prices Sunderland will get for those players (if they can sell them). A bit like Harry Redknapp slagging off the QPR squad.
  20. Cissé would also reach 20 goals a season if the officials didn't keep chalking off goals for offside, especially when replays then confirm he was onside. "Give the benefit out the doubt to the attacker"? Depends who the attacker is and who he plays for.
  21. More of a whole club rather than just Pardew article but: - http://www.true-faith.co.uk/tbawe.html
  22. We weren't playing under any pressure, had nothing to lose and yet we still struggled to create many clear cut chances. Why our attacks are so poor has to be down to coaching. If it wasn't, the management would have been going crazy at the players for months for not getting into the box. The players would also get bollocked for their lack of movement. We are great at playing the ball across the defence. As soon as we want to go forward there are no options.
  23. They were like. They were literally dancing in the stands long after the final whistle. I guess we know where the Arsenal fans stand if the question was "What would you rather have? Win a Trophy or qualify for the Champions League?".
  24. With Simpson leaving and Ryan Taylor out for next season we're a bit light for right back cover again.
