It’s hard to call how many points we’ll get. Bournemouth and Brighton are games we never seem to win, West Ham could be fighting for their lives, same with Forest. Arsenal a hard game at any point but they’re going to be bang up for it. Could work in our favour obviously if we go and shithouse it. Would be more shocked if we went on a good run rather than had a disastrous ending. No real good feeling at the minute, crowd could get toxic at home etc.

The idea of signing players to “flip” for profit doesn’t sit right with me at all. Neither does multi-club ownership. Saw some scouser on Twitter saying he’s disappointing their owners aren’t doing it, personally I think it’s a disgrace.

I was driving home earlier and had the same thoughts - surely even Howe is fucking annoyed at how shit this season has been. Can I see him adapting enough to improve things? I wish I could but I just don’t.

Can’t be as painful as this as as you say. Losing late on to average teams, slow, boring and generally pointless football, unable to defend, create next to nowt.

I’d also add to this that last season, when we were playing once a week, it wasn’t exactly a case of us playing well and dominating games. There were some very sketchy performances and we fell over the line due to Villa more than a case of us being decent. I hope that doesn’t come across that I’m trying to diminish what we achieved, but the above is true. I don’t have any faith that next season is going to be much of an improvement on this one tactically, Europe or not.
