I’m with you, find it odd that people are writing him off or saying he doesn’t suit us. I think this time next year hell be much more integrated after a full pre season under his belt and us knowing how to utilise him better. Good to see Howe experimenting yesterday.

Where does the other night rank in your favourite games of the Howe era? Not necessarily in terms of importance. But in terms of the performance, the drama, atmosphere etc. It’s possibly number one for me. Followed by these - not in order. 3-3 v Liverpool (just a class game, dramatic finale) 5-1 v Villa (blew them away on the opening weekend) 3-1 v Everton (the game that made me realise we’d stay up, atmosphere incredible) 6-1 v Spurs (people laughing rather than celebrating goals at one point) 4-1 PSG (iconic) 3-3 v Man City 4-3 v West Ham (class game, Harvey Barnes brace….) Arsenal 2-0 (they needed to win, was a dead rubber for us yet we smashed them. Atmosphere was unreal) Been some absolute belters.

Was at the game and thought leaving the ground we got away with one. However, just watched the full game back (well, from 30th minute onwards) and think we deserved to win. Leeds were excellent, but thought we done more than enough to win it.

When we were linked with Ektike the plan was supposedly to play him and Isak together. Howe has pretty much said he won’t be playing Wolt and Wissa together though, so fuck knows. He wasn’t here pre season, so maybe this summer will see us work on developing our playing style more.
