    Gretna

Depending on what newspaper you read, they're not about to go under because the chairman is seriously ill with a brain disease, they're about to go under because the chairman has no money left and would still have no money left even if he wasn't ill.

    Gretna

    Does anybody care?
  3. Both would do a decent job in the Championship though FWIW I think McDonald is a vastly overrated player. Boyd is a decent goal-scorer but he's too huffy and lazy.
  4. Ferguson for me but it's close. Granted, the style of football Arsenal play is easy on the eye but Man Utd aren't exactly dull and boring to watch either. Trophies (one in particular) give Ferguson the advantage for me.
  5. Played again tonight. Won 7-2 and scored 2. It always amazes me how many goals I score at 5ives considering i'm a centre half by trade on a saturday morning. I guess some people just ooze class hey?
  6. I played tonight, drew 8-8 and scored 3. Usually play 5-a-sides three times a week and a full game on Saturday morning. I enjoy playing fives because you can try things that you wouldn't normally try with it being a completely flat surface. I prefer elevens though - it's a good excuse for a fight

    Aiden McGeady

Erm, who does? Nobody, but some people can get back on their feet and get on with it. McGeady and Nakamura seem to be the type of players to lose interest whenever the game gets physical.

He's a very good wee player but he could do with toughening up a bit - he doesn't like being kicked.
  9. Fair enough dude. It would obviously be a long shot. I just don't think it would be a bad idea for you lads to have him watched just to make sure you don't want to sign him. Then again, I guess you could say that about a lot of players.
  10. http://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/index.asp?tm=17&ID=317 I've been watching Dundee Utd for almost 20 years and i've yet to see anybody as naturally gifted as this kid in a tangerine jersey. He's an attacking midfielder with two very good feet and a first touch to kill for. Very rough around the edges, his decision making could do with improvement at times but that can be coached into a player of his age. He's only made a few appearances for us and is definetely one for the future - not an EPL player by any stretch of the imagination - yet. It's not often that I whore our best players out to my favourite English team but this boy is special. Have a look. If he's not good enough then fair enough but I think he'll go far.
  11. what about teams from other leagues? :sad1: people surely can have a favorite from la liga or whatever. just have to be all NUFC should we meet in the intertoto! Why would you want to support a team form somewhere you weren't from? Second teams from anywhere is bad enough, but another in the EPL, as the first poster clearly has, is mental. I've got a few teams that I look out for. None of them are in direct competition with eachother mind.
  12. To be fair, he won't be playing against Gretna if he signs for Real Madrid
  13. I've seen him a few times and he's never really stood out as being anything special. He certainly didn't look like he was up to much against us on Saturday.
  14. I don't have a problem with players/managers giving it back. What kind of weasel screams constant abuse at somebody for an hour and a half then starts crying when they give it back? Would they walk up to a stranger in the street and verbally abuse him? Of course not. People who only attend football matches so that they can verbally abuse people without consequence really need to start thinking about standing up to their Mrs a bit more.

  16. Five years ago, yes please. But we wouldn't have got him five years ago. Not now, thanks.

Not this old argument again. Next we'll be blaming the fans for Barton battering somebody. In fact, wait a minute...
  19. That's certainly the word on the pavey up here
  20. A bit harsh considering he's hardly played. Only Sam knows why.
  21. he scored 2 is that right? Yeah. I was just about to go onto a Utd forum to have a moan about the result when I heard the news. The result means nothing now.
  22. Dreadful. My mate was at the game and he text me to say that O'Donnell had collapsed but I just assumed he'd swallowed his tongue or something. Turns out it was a brain haemorrage. I would have been at the game if I hadn't had such a heavy session last night but i'm glad I didn't go now. I've never seen anybody die before and it's not something I want to see any time soon. His nephew David Clarkson also plays for Motherwell and he had to be substituted after it happened because of shock.
  23. Yep, I blame people who leave early tbh. They want to have a long hard look at themselves. They've really gone and done it this time.
  24. I was thinking that aswell. Imagine presenting yourself like that on national TV
