Similar thing happened over here last season. Player was unconscious for over 50 days but ultimately pulled through. Obviously his career is over, but he's alive and walking. Was quite the story and I hope there's a similar happy ending for Fabrice Muamba as well. God bless.

Just to add on to this, the deal Arsenal had with Monaco was apparently a 3m initial fee with an add-on of 9m if Park could at any point get out of his national service. So Arsenal are about to fork up an extra 9 million Euros. For a player who never plays

Park Chu-Young has acquired a 10-year residency permit from the Principality of Monaco, which allows him to delay his military service until the expiry of his reidency provided he does not live or work in the Republic of Korea during that period. All we need to do now is get him the fuck out of Arsenal.

It's a crapshot either way. I would've been angry if we hadn't at least made an attempt to score in what looked like the last possession of the game. Pardew was probably the most gutted out of anyone when he saw us concede. Made a gamble that didn't pay off.

Did about as well as you could expect any center back in the league to do against Van Persie at the moment. Just unfortunate to have been responsible for goals conceded two weeks in a row when he was already on his way to scapegoat-ville.

Because we were committing players forward in a well-meaning attempt to win the game. Which would be all well and good, except for the fact that Simpson decided to be retarded with the throw-in. Just an all-around terrible loss of concentration.

Central midfield was ripped in half by Rosicky. Hoof ball in the second half ended up being more of a result than a cause. We were willing to play it on the floor in the first half but it became too tempting to revert to type when it became evident that Cabaye was completing about as many passes as Rosicky was misplacing. (i.e., two.) Our game relies too much on our central midfielders because a. they're our best players, and b. we have no wing threat. The games we've played badly this season are the games where Cabaye or Tiote have been in bad form or have been up against players who are just better. We were always going to struggle mightily against an on-form Arsenal.

I have to go to work now. Worst day ever.
